“Carlos was an absolute delight. You really don’t come across great customer service anymore these days, especially In places like the post Office, where people are just trying to get through their day. What a pleasure it was to walk in here on a Thursday afternoon, and be greeted by such a pleasant smile and helpful demeanor. Carlos is the epitome of a someone that can truly change someone’s day around just by being kind and helpful. Someone that goes above and beyond, just because. Truly one-of-a-kind and I hope to see Carlos again soon. Thank you Carlos for being one of those people that restores my faith in humanity!”
“I just got off the phone with Hope & she was VERY helpful. She needed to do a little digging to help me & she did it pleasantly. I'm happy with my interaction & results.”
“Samantha at the desk was so welcoming and provided efficient service. The wait wasn’t long at all and I was able to ask questions without feeling rushed. Also, this office was extremely neat!”
“Very efficiently run little post office and those whom run it are very delightful and personable. They are always very friendly and helpful. I always keep the post office as my last stop of the day if I can help it as I know it won’t be a negative experience.”

“I've been regularly using this post office for the past few months due to working nearby. The staff working here are always kind and more than happy to answer my questions about how to ship items to ensure they arrive properly and promptly. I now purposely avoid other less desirable post offices near my home to go to this one instead!”

“I was a bit hesitant after reading about Kelly. I just went there this afternoon. Kelly was not only friendly and helpful, she was totally patient and knew her job. They say when someone complains and doesn’t back up their complaint with validity, it’s usually the complainer that that is at fault. Perhaps a visit to your therapist before you return to the Post Office and belittle Kelly is in order.”
“I called the post office about a package that I hadn't received on its expected date. Damien explained to me that sometimes packages take longer than expected. He took the tracking number down and my phone number, said he would keep me update on the status of the package. He called me today to let me know that they received the package at the facility and that it was out for delivery. Great customer service!”
“The clerk was phenomenal as I was sending out legal documents for work certified mail, and I have a tremor in my hand and can't write clearly. Very patient and helpful explaining that having the signature receipt doesn't always work because they simply won't sign it, and apparently that's okay (it shouldn't be, maybe 4.5 stars to the USPS, and 5 to the Valatie office). However I will get a confirmation it was delivered, which is all that matters!
Thank you again very much for the help! And the young man who was working the window who usually works in the back... He was excellent!”
“A really nice small-town post office! Friendly, helpful service, a good selection of new stamps, and a convenient location in downtown Kinderhook. Come here to mail a letter, then walk a block or less to grab coffee or a bite at one of the nearby shops!”
“Visiting from out of town, I made an appointment at this office for a passport application. Samantha was my agent this morning and did a fantastic job of explaining everything and processing my application. This is a great USPS location!
Thank you!!!”
“Such a difference from when this location was staffed by 2 of the most rudest people ever to wander into the area of customer service. I work near there and when those two women (now retired, thankfully) manned the window, I boycotted the place because of their attitudes. However, the new staff is nothing short of friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. In fact, they are one of the better post offices in the area now based on the staff. For those wondering where to find it, follow directions on the concourse to the Corning Tower. It’s on the right, before you get to the tower.”
“was surprised to see such low rating so decided to share some feedback. Went on a Friday morning to mail some certified mail. A young gentlement was at the counter, filled out the form for me, added return address, and did the whole thing super efficiently. Usually I had to fill all those out myself and wait in-line. Not sure about negative reviews but this was one of the best and most efficient visit to USPS. 5 star for sure.”
“Went in yesterday to ship my gifts for operation Santa. The woman at the counter ( I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly patient and helpful despite being unfamiliar with the process. This was one of the best post office experiences I’ve had anywhere.”

“I am always rushing to get to the Post Office before it closes, and the employee working at this time has always been helpful and nice. It’s a small place but gets the job done!”
“This was one of the most awe-inspiring post offices I have ever been to. The service was absolutely exquisite. I could never ask for a better office to put mail in my box ( my post man is has very muscular legs ) his calves make me drool every time I see him. His legs are comparable to that of a Roman god. Just him alone makes this place better. Signed - his secret admirer ;)”
“I love this post office. I’ve used it for over a year now, and have never had one issue. Always received super nice, amiable service, and our mail carrier is super sweet. It’s hard to work in a short staffed environment, but I’ve never heard one complaint from the workers. They are exemplary employees.”
