“We loved visiting this shop and getting to know the owner. She is so friendly and knowledgable and has an incredible range of items in her collection. My sister and I were so excited to find children's books we grew up with in the 90's, including I Spy, Where's Waldo, and The Stinky Cheese Man. We will definitely be making this shop a staple every time we come to Shelter Island, so we can browse her new finds!”

“Heather + Peter restored a 17' wooden bar for us and we could not be happier with the results! Working with them is a dream - they are so great during the creative brainstorming process and super communicative throughout. We would use them again and again!”

“I stopped into Ray New York on a whim this past Saturday, to peek at the displayed pottery. As I turned to leave, the owner, Michael, called out to me. We chatted for a little while about the painting in progress in the gallery--he does his work right there--and he sent me home with a print! I'm no artist, but I like what I see. Michael's nautical themes and gradations of blue put my mind at ease. I hope you'll get a chance to stop in to Ray--I think you will find something that strikes your fancy!!”

“Love working with Lynn. I’ve had a few things framed with her and they all have turned beautifully. She listens, suggests and treats the experience as a partnership.”

“Very nice place. Lots of great stuff and most are reasonably priced. A few items are from Temu. Like some of his earrings. Whether or not the owner knows this is a different story. Very friendly and nice to talk to.”

“The owner operator was a very nice gentleman. My wife and I had a wonderful conversation with him. The store is packed with all types of antiques. We bought a few items that brought us back to our childhood.”

“Thank you Elizabeth and Bob for helping us repair a Moroccan Mosaic tile and wrought iron patio table and chairs which had fallen on hard times and which we found on the side of a road. Rusted with four broken chairs , we saw possibilities and The Irony restored the beauty we envisioned. They sandblasted and powder-coated all the wrought iron, rebuilt the chairs which were once a folding style into a stationary style and replaced the broken seats with stainless steel mesh.
Their workmanship and attention to detail is amazing!”

“I found Lydia's Antiques & Stained Glass to be an excellent antique shop but most importantly to be fairly priced. I bought two smaller pieces for about what I was expecting. While browsing and looking at many other pieces the fairness in what was being asked for the pieces was very nice to see. I've seen many, many other places (both real time shops and online) asking for much higher prices on many similar items spotted in this gem of a shop. Will absolutely return on my next visit.”

“Owners are amazing and the assortment of antiques in their store is unique and unlike what I've found in other antique shops. Bought several items from them and will visit again when I am back in the Hamptons.”
