After changes to our insurance we were lured into using CVS for our subscriptions because they offered delivery. After a few “fills” we quickly learned our move to CVS was a mistake. For reasons never clear to us, our maintenance meds could not be delivered and we never were able to take advantage of the delivery service for which we were paying $10 per month. What we did get was non-stop unwanted emails and texts.
The pharmacist at Sam’s called us to confirm that we had switched to CVS and explained that non-controlled medications could be shipped to us for free. We also had the option of 2 free same day deliveries.
Not only did WE switch back to Sam’s Pharmacy, but we switched our parents, who live an hour away. Like us, they have mobility issues and love having meds sent to their front door. And of course they are now members of Sam’s. During the first visit they went on a buying spree. My mother said several times “this place is way classier than BJ’s.” Finally, my father made me set up Scan and Go while in the store because he wanted to scan items like I was.
We can’t fully express how much we value our relationship with the the Pharmacy staff (Nick, Sandy and Mellisa). I mean, come on; Nick even has my date of birth memorized
I think that since 2020, we have convinced a dozen people to get a membership at Sam’’s,
And, all the credit for our loyalty owes to Nick and Sandy!
Pharmacy is top notch. Curbside and home delivery is amazing. We can’t say enough good things about the pharmacists and staff.”

“I switched from CVS to ConnectRx about 3years ago and wish I’d done it sooner. I don’t have a car. CVS’ “delivery” was hit or miss through the mail. ConnectRx delivery is by a vehicle driven by a very competent and pleasant driver. You get to know many of the people there and you get top notch service when you call. They call me when refills are coming due and they always deliver when they say they will. It’s really old-fashioned service in a world that’s lost a lot of that. I’m a fan!”

“I have been a customer here for literally decades. There have been many changes including a remodel/enlargement of the pharmacy section a number of years ago. The store now seems to be running well. Despite installing checkout machines they maintain at least one clerk up front although you may need to find him/her on off hours. Between the world’s longest receipts and the e mails there are bargains to be had. Recent lesson-if you have an “X percent off one item” coupon, DO NOT use extra bucks on the same transaction. Just use the coupon or the extra bucks will be deducted from the item before the coupon is applied.
The pharmacy itself is pretty efficient but don’t try to pick up during the 4-6 PM hour, and remember their lunch break! The new pharmacist addition, Ben I believe is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall much better service than Walgreens and more convenient than Price Chopper.”
“When I called on the phone to see if my daughter could get her prescription filled there that her usual pharmacy did not have Jacqueline was extremely nice and helped me set up a profile for her so that I could get the medicine easily however what I do not like about the pharmacy is that you have to have a consultation even if you already know how to use the medication they do not ask you do you need a consultation? They force it upon you Another thing that I really did not like was when I came in as I am new to this pharmacy, I stood in front of the pick up window where there was somebody waiting to help. She was not friendly at all, she did not greet me and said she said I’ll be with you in a moment and then when I was still standing there, she looked up at me and said actually in a rude way can you go wait by the exit sign me being new to the pharmacy had no idea where the exit sign was,and as soon as I stepped back, another pharmacist yelled out can I help the next person a gentleman behind me who came after me tried to go in front of me and I had to excuse myself and tell him I was there first I was helped without a problem, but I felt like as a new customer this is no way to treat people. I was actually thinking about switching my pharmacy to Walmart until this interaction.”

They listened to the unique issue I was having in filling a prescription and it was told to me they were the pharmacy that had it. Not only did the pharmacist take time to call price chopper to transfer a prescription he also took the time to file it right before the pharmacy closed for lunch break. I cannot thank the pharmacy here enough you have no idea what it meant to me.”

“My first time using this pharmacy. Its a small pharmacy in the lower level of Albany Damian House. Initially was not completely comfortable using it. But they understand the urgency of needing your scripts and as its more of a speacialty pharmacy keep complete open communication about your meds and the status. They are very professional yet personable. Its very clean and orderly as well.”
“I needed a receipt reprinted from 10 days ago. Every employee in the store, on the phone and in person, was extremely courteous and helpful. They took the time to work with me and were able to reprint my receipt, which was extremely helpful to me. The store is clean and stocked. I moved my prescriptions to this location and am glad I did. The pharmacy staff is also wonderful. They are patient when busy while still being efficient. They take the time to answer questions and check in when prompted. I am very happy with this location and plan to continue shopping here.”

“I pulled a doozy and only packed just enough of my medication for my trip when I was unexpectedly stranded in NY for an extended period. The pharmacist at Hannaford was so helpful and filled my medications. She even helped me get them at a discounted price without having to file through my insurance since going through that process would have been extremely grueling with needing prior authorization, etc. I am so thankful for the grace given and help and understanding received since these are medications that are necessary to prevent seizures.
