Clean beach with plenty of benches to relax on. This beach is good for families with young kids. Sometimes it's windy, and sand blows through the wind. Plenty of parking space.

Wife said she needed a beach, well she got it. The beach was awesome for being on a lake and not the sea. Clean sand swimming area.it was awesome. Not sure if there was a playground enjoyed the beach and walked to light house on a jetty

Definitely a popular spot on a hot day! Get there early if you want parking and/or to get a picnic table under the pavilion. The space fills up quickly. The only unpleasant thing was that someone else was double parked and whenwe asked politely if he could fix his parking job, he started swearing at us. But, that's an issue with one person, not the location itself. People do smoke under the pavilion, which is a bit irritating, but I don't remember seeing any signage that it was prohibited, and even if there was, not sure anyone would/could actually enforce it.

Three generations of us spent two days on the beach at Sodus Point Beach Park. The experience was wonderful: great sand, parking, and proximity to the town.
