Coach Katelyn is incredible too — super encouraging, knowledgeable, and always makes sure everyone feels comfortable yet accountable. The whole team truly cares, and it shows. “Awesome gym. Very clean and the equipment is always functional. In the event a piece of equipment isn't working, there is a sign posted on the equipment along with eventual updates as to when it will be repaired. I came from another gym in New City that turned into a social hangout for high schoolers in the afternoon. At powerhouse, everyone, young and old, are there to get a good workout in and move on. Highly recommend this gym”
“Im a college athlete who needed a gym during winter break and I came here on a 3-day trial and ended up signing up and I would do it again. Im not a talker when I workout but you can feel the good culture they have set up I recommend it to anyone. The exact opposite of a toxic gym environment.”

“From the day I toured Orangetheory Fitness, looking for a gym to workout, I knew I had found it. The support I received has been so important. A year later, I’m feeling more physically and emotionally confident.
In short, I live with heart failure, lacked motivation, and was not active. That all changed when I followed up on a tip to check out Orangetheory. The only suggestion I can make is doing what I was told. Take a tour, and do a workout.

I was overweight, unhappy, unmotivated, and basically miserable from that first day CHRISTINE and every coach has made me feel comfortable, guided me and helped me to achieve the best results I have ever had in any other work that I have ever done. I have many many injuries and Christine always walked me through another way a different way of doing something that helped me get through the workout. “I started at the Rack in August of 2016 at their old location in Paramus. I have tried other types of gyms but consistently find myself coming back to this one. CrossFit has challenged me in so many ways to become a stronger individual, not only physically but mentally. I have learned to do things I never thought I would ever be capable of. Moreover, this community has become like family to me. They are my support system and i enjoy my time with them so much. They are one of the main reasons I stay so consistent. It’s been two months and I’ve built a lot of muscle! She pays attention to my progress and is very mindful of setting goals and keeping to them. The owner Juli is very organized, mindful and works with my schedule as needed. There are many classes to choose from as well. There is a supportive and friendly community in this gym! As a woman, I really appreciate the intimacy of the one on one personal training in a facility where there is so much privacy. This has been life changing for me and I’m more than confident that I will reach my goals and shift myself into a lifestyle of consistent fitness with the support of these amazing women!”

I’ve had recurring issues with Retro Fitness corporate regarding how they process members with an Ultimate Membership. Maddie (spelling?) has been absolutely wonderful — not only in diffusing my frustration but also in creating a workaround to ensure I’m not humiliated each time I’m wrongfully flagged for using the privileges my membership includes. If it weren’t for the positive customer experience Maddie and her staff provide, I’d probably be a Planet Fitness member by now.”

“Love the gym, the classes and the instructors. The only negative is the morning classes really fill up and some of the regulars act like they "pay rent " for certain spots on the floor they will literally stand right next to you so you move out of their spot super RUDE!”

“It can get packed on Wednesdays but despite this, I can always manage to find parking nearby in the lot. The place is generally clean and well maintained. Only gripe I would have is that traffic can be quite congested on Route 59 from Nanuet heading to the location in Spring Valley.”
