“Gave this place a try after receiving a higher quote from another company. I also wanted to support a local business. It's hard to gauge the price of carpeting since it's so rare to get these days, with hardwood floors being the preferred option. We needed to replace the carpeting on our stairs. They came out to my home to measure which was a plus. Ali was so nice and humble and measured the space within 10-15 minutes. When I went into the store to pick options out, Sheila already had a few options picked based on what I mentioned to her on the phone. I didn't end up going with her selections, and I was still undecided on a color I had chosen. They were so nice, they let me take the sample home to see how it would look to ensure I was satisfied. That was greatly appreciated as we did not like how the color looked. Luckily, there were some more color options on the sample that we ended up going with. Within a little over a week, their crew came out to install and were done in 3 hours as they carefully took their time. From customer service to expert care and price as they came in $300-$400 cheaper, I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!”

“My contact with Color-age started with ordering samples of carpet for my L-shaped living/dining room. After narrowing down the samples to my first, second and third choices, I made an appointment to see Doris at the store in New Hyde Park. I also needed to paint the walls before the carpet was installed and I wanted all the work finished before my new furniture arrived. I had samples of my sofa and chair material and Doris helped me coordinate the carpet and paint colors with excellent suggestions. Then someone came to my house to measure for the carpeting and give me a quote for the paint job, the price of which I found to be on target with today's marketplace. Their painter, Miguel, did a fabulous job on the painting, as well as the prep beforehand, which included some crown molding needing repair and a wall in my hallway that needed fixing. He was fast, neat, and very courteous. Then the carpet people came with a crew of 5 men and the carpet was installed quickly. All-in-all I had a very good experience with this company and would use them again.”

Appreciated his knowledgeable recommendations on the best carpeting for the space. He was very accommodating when we had to reschedule our install date too. “There was a blood stain in a carpet in my office that a carpet cleaning company came to 'treat and clean' about three different times in one week. It never got the stain out so i went to Floors Unlimited to pick out a new carpet and explained the situation to the manager. He pushed me into buying 12$ worth of carpet cleaner foam rather then getting all new carpet and baseboard molding. He literally pushed me the save myself about 1,300$ and said he's really confident i won't need new carpet. The sales guys are beyond honest and trustworthy !! These guys are now my carpet guys forever !!”
