“This review is for the online experience only, but have no doubt that the antique and jewelry store is just as wonderful! My boyfriend and I recently purchased my wedding ring from here and am so thrilled I stumbled upon the piece! It was on Pinterest that I first saw a similar ring Russell had created and after doing some digging found Erie Basin's online store. I of course was hesitant purchasing a diamond online having not seen it first, so contacted Russell who took the time to discus my concerns via phone. Once the purchase was made, the resizing took only hours and he shipped it to me overnight. Everything was super smooth and stress less and the ring is exactly what I wanted- vintage, simple, classic. Erie Basin has a customer for life in me!”

“I had followed Salt Lizard on Instagram for quite sometime and finally had the opportunity to visit the store. The owners are incredibly friendly, the store is spacious with abundant natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unlike typical antique stores, Salt Lizard's curated selection eliminates the digging through dusty junk without having a "Do not touch!" vibe. The prices are within reach, offering a range of fine antiques from furniture to tableware and rugs. A gem for antique enthusiasts!”

589 5th Ave, New York“Finally getting around to this review after 2 years. I wanted something very special that no one else has and boy did Erstwhile deliver!!! Being from Texas spending that kind of money placing a online order made me a bit nervous. These people provided top notch white glove service and way over delivered on every level. I HIGHLY recommend. Now I want a special necklace to go with my rings!”
“NAZMIYAL is the best source for antique and vintage rugs and carpets. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, Jason himself is an amazing dealer who handpicks each and every piece in his stunning collection and is happy to educate the consumer, not just make a sale. I always trust his experience and great eye for all my spaces!”
“Coolest guy I ever met! Seriously Vieira gave my 10 yo son free coins to encourage him, and willing to share his knowledge with a little boy. How cool is that! Now my son is more serious in the hobby because of him, and I'd love to go back there and recommend this place to anyone into coin collection!”

Showplace Antique Center, 40 West 25th Street, New York“The Missing Link is a gem in NYC. I went in to find cufflinks and a stud set as accessories on a tuxedo for my wedding; the collection was incredible and I found the perfect, unique pieces. I had been to several department stores where the selection was lacking, but not here at The Missing Link. The experience was enhanced by Michael who was engaging, patient, and courteous. Highly recommend.”

345 18th St, Jersey City“Came here last weekend with friends and we all were searching for elusive pieces for our apartments. We all left finding our perfect thing, in my case a small entryway cabinet. The owners are welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and eager to help anyone just browsing or looking for something specific. The quality for the price here is unmatched.”
“Was looking to sell a couple of pieces. Went to their website and sent an email for a quote. No response. I called the office. They gave me a number to text photos and I did so. No response. I sent a follow up text the next day. No response. I waited two additional days and still no response.I can understand if you’re not interested in buying, but at least have the courtesy of giving me a reply. To ignore me like this is completely unprofessional. I don’t see how they can offer same day evaluations when I can’t even get a callback.Edit: Adam called me after the review and we were able to work something out. Thanks for getting back to me.”
“A really cool Himalayan gift shop with a large variety of cool things including antiques, handmade jewelry, meditation items, clothing, incense, and much more! Very kind staff and great vibes!”
“Love love love this store, everything is beautiful and I want to take a million things home every time I go. I try to visit whenever I go to NY. I have bought gorgeous sterling Tiffany frames, and a beautiful glass vase with silver overlay which makes me smile whenever I look at it. The salespeople are lovely as well. The prices are not inexpensive, but the merchandise is beautiful, and they will work with you a little bit, especially if you are purchasing more than one item. I absolutely recommend stopping here when you are in the area!”

10 Warren St, New York“I’ve always had good luck with Fountain Pen Hospital. Although I collect ball pens rather than fountain pens, the prices are fair. One thing I really like is they are willing to switch out a black refill for a blue one or a medium point for a fine point”
“Most astonishing antiqueshop I‘ve ever been! Really great, very well sorted pieces, the no.1 to go in NYC! And Bob is such a kind a friendly owner, thanx for the great service!”
“Went in for a repair which I thought would cost me an arm and a leg.Not only didn't it, but the counseling and advice from the staff was worth more than anything else.Honest and great service from people who genuinely care and know their trade.Highly recommend them!”

“Nice stuff to look at but I came in looking for a specific thing and I got it! I was looking for a coffee cup and saucer and I found a nice one and the owner provided useful information for us. I think it was a good price for each set.”
“We purchased a lampshade at Illume Lampshades for a very old Marbro crystal lamp. Their lampshades are exceptionally beautiful and are made on the premises. We received expert and patient service and are delighted with our purchase.”

26 Mott St, New York“This little family shop has so much rich history and feels cozy. The entire family (husband, wife, and grandma) are on the shop floor and eager to speak to guests. It reminds me of my own family and my mom's shop. The family is super helpful in helping you find a gift that's right for you and they're very knowledgeable about their store's inventory. The selection of earrings is quite extraordinary -- there are beautiful ceramic and porcelain earrings with all types of traditional East Asian designs. I bought three because I couldn't decide which ones I wanted. I also bought a much needed soup spoon. Everything is reasonable priced and of good quality. The storekeeper even realized that she messed up on ringing me up and refunded me in cash. They are the sweetest and I will be going back to talk to them again!”

I love the atmosphere of this place, and you can sometimes see them making stationary on antique letterpresses when you enter the shop. A must-see on any visit to the South Street Seaport historic district. They also do custom stationery and business cards.”
“Excellent vintage and antique shop; you’d have to enter and explore. Chris’ shop contains phenomenal indigenous artisan jewelry, cultural home decor, and authentic creations overall. Welcoming, and fun atmosphere inside a community thrift shop that has an item for everyone!”

240 W 10th St, New York“What a find! How I never noticed this gem on 10th street before is a nagging question for me, but all wrongs have been righted and I know I’ll be shopping here for years to come. So many fabulous finds! I found a perfect string of peaks with warm luster and a vintage black slip/nightgown and I adore both. I want to go back when I have more time to dig through the vintage handbags, knits and scarves. The space is small, but is packed to the brim with fabulous finds. The Madame has a discerning eye and there’s no junk amongst the treasures.More importantly, drop in for community! The customers attracted to this special spot were warm and friendly. Great conversations and connection happened. This isn’t just vintage shopping; it’s an experience. Can’t wait to go back”
“I had an item that I needed to return and eventhough their sales are final the manager in the store let me exchange and I ended up spending more bc I loved her massive safety pin earrings. I will be back bc this really stylish man convinced my girlfriend to buy some heels”
“My husband's diamond ring was stolen during a move. I searched for a replacement that would somewhat remind us of the vintage ring that was lost. I was delighted to find a ring beautiful on the Israel Rose website. Their customer service was superb - the ring was sized and sent to me more quickly than expected.”

Robert came over and gave us an honest estimate and also great advice about how to proceed. He is very professional and personable person and we recommend him to everyone in the antiques market. “If you live in or are stopping by Queens during the weekend, this is a must. Nice small shop with antique furniture, assorted glassware, a very nice used/new vinyl selection and more.”
