“This review is for the online experience only, but have no doubt that the antique and jewelry store is just as wonderful! My boyfriend and I recently purchased my wedding ring from here and am so thrilled I stumbled upon the piece! It was on Pinterest that I first saw a similar ring Russell had created and after doing some digging found Erie Basin's online store. I of course was hesitant purchasing a diamond online having not seen it first, so contacted Russell who took the time to discus my concerns via phone. Once the purchase was made, the resizing took only hours and he shipped it to me overnight. Everything was super smooth and stress less and the ring is exactly what I wanted- vintage, simple, classic. Erie Basin has a customer for life in me!”

“I had followed Salt Lizard on Instagram for quite sometime and finally had the opportunity to visit the store. The owners are incredibly friendly, the store is spacious with abundant natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unlike typical antique stores, Salt Lizard's curated selection eliminates the digging through dusty junk without having a "Do not touch!" vibe. The prices are within reach, offering a range of fine antiques from furniture to tableware and rugs. A gem for antique enthusiasts!”

“This place is fantastic. We were in town visiting and stumbled upon it after getting coffee. There were such gorgeous, unique, and well-priced pieces we ended up purchasing, hiring a third party shipping service, and getting a massive buffet table, 2 nightstands, cocktail table, and lamp to enjoy all the way back home in Illinois. It was SO worth it. Marcelo and his team were so sweet, efficient, and easy to work with. Right after I purchased, they immediately wrapped up all the items with cloth first then plastic wrap. He said no problem that they can store our items for free until we figured out how we would ship it back. They then ended up making sure to help load everything onto the moving truck once the person who was driving the items to us came to pick up. I wish I lived here- I would be here all the time to see what new finds they have and support their fantastic business. Next time we visit, we will be definitely returning. Thank you!”

“This place is hands down the best for architectural salvage of any borough that I have been to in NYC! Roy, Carlos and the guys that assist are very cordial and nice and the prices are FAR less than Big Reuse a block away. The top part of a full China cabinet I found under what seemed like a hundred brownstone doors they happily removed for me. I left the bottom piece but paid the full price quoted because it was so reasonable and for the effort it took to unearth the piece. My go to for architectural salvage!!!!”

“I came across Time Galleries via social media and decided to check them out. The store is quite grand with rows and rows of antique electronics, glassware, furniture, lighting and wall art. They even have a basement full of antique furniture that is open to customers. The woman working the front desk was friendly and helpful. When buying a bigger piece of furniture, you’re given 7 days to come pick it up with proper transportation or you can inquire with their various delivery services available about having it dropped off to your home. Prices are not firm and they are open to negotiation so long as it is fair. Come pick-up day, our item was in the same condition as when I first purchased it and staff helped bring it up the stairs as well as outside to load it into our vehicle. Definitely recommend checking out Time Galleries! They are constantly restocking so there is always new stuff to check out!”

“[A mysterious flea market that looks like something out of a picture book]Visited in November 2023.I love going to flea markets and have been to them both in Japan and overseas. This is a flea market with a unique worldview.I was interested in the folding table at the entrance, but there was no way I could take it home with me on the plane, so I gave up.To be honest, there were no items I wanted to buy, such as dusty accessories and worn old clothes. However, the atmosphere of this place is unique and makes you feel like you have stepped into the world of a picture book or movie. This may be a flea market for people who like the taste of a regular flea market.”

“Had a great afternoon shopping here! I've been furnishing my apartment and looking for unique, one of a kind pieces. The couple running the warehouse are helpful and kind; he even spray painted some stools I found to better fit my style. I was inspired to purchase something new and found what I was looking for. Highly recommend for those who enjoy a treasure hunt and high quality, vintage pieces.”

“Refreshing vintage & new finds. Quirky-chic owner who seems to know and care about what's in the store--as it should be. They may have whatever you're looking for, but they're certain to have a treasure you weren't looking for. Wonderful place. Fair prices. (If you've traversed the quadruple priced, dust-caked vintage shops on Atlantic Ave, you'll understand the difference.)”

“As a geographer writing her family's history, how my heart lept when I found this stunning, highly professional map company with a pre-1900 map of San Francisco published by my great-great grandfather, Albert Little Bancroft. To have this hanging in my home adds fantastic depth to the family stories surrounding the city, his family, and greater admiration from me.”

“The store is charming and exceptionally well curated. We had to exert restraint to not walk out with half the store. We ended up finding a gorgeous display cabinet. Liz, the woman behind the counter, was super-helpful in making arrangements for the delivery, and Honey, the owner, was extremely accommodating with additional logistics. Thoroughly recommended.”

“This is a great shop. Gijs has impeccable taste, a great selection and fair prices -- plus, he's a great guy. My wife and I went in here somewhat on a whim as we were moving into a new apartment and were floored. We ended up buying two tables, a couch and a coffee table within a matter of a few weeks after extensive hunting elsewhere. Would highly recommend!”

“Mike was very communicative in describing his restoration process and love of mid-century. He restored my George Nelson drop leaf table to my satisfaction. Some radio silence along the process, but nothing I would consider a reason to not use his services. He was very nice about pick up and delivery too.”
