There was an issue and Will went above and beyond to get me in a vehicle that fit my needs. He was caring and patient. He got it from the airport area and it was not as clean as the car he picked me up I can tell you that. While I was waiting I saw his co worker taking the next person in line and helping everyone.

I’m a presidential circle member and twice now I’ve booked reservations and been turned away saying they don’t have cars available. They also just modified my reservation without my permission and instead of one day 12PM-12PM it’s two days 7:48AM-12PM and charged my card without discussing it with me. I’m done using hertz

After dealing with incompetence on the phone with my auto insurance company the Manager at this location Will Mawson took the call over for me and smoothed everything out with my car insurance company and my car loaner pickup. Will spent over an hour of his own time to make sure I would have a loaner car to go home with and that it would not cost me anything as that is why I paid rental insurance on my policy. I can’t thank Will more than enough for going above and beyond for me. I wish there were more employees like Will in this day and age. Great Job Will Mawson!!!

Terrible, I made a reservation online, and I uber there because I need a car just to be told they don’t have the cars. Then 2 customers come in to return a car and I ask if I can take one of those cars and I’m told “sorry those cars are reserved” Update: they went above and beyond, 15 minutes after this review they rushed to find me a car last minute and the manager gave me a large discount, I highly appreciate the effort of the company to do this and she was very personal and friendly.

Worse customer service i have ever experienced, I’m 46, so that is saying something. Not friendly and unknowledgeable representative. I don’t recommend going to this location. If you need to rent, go to the airport.

I made a reservation with Hertz a full week in advance, planning a special trip to Florida for my daughter’s birthday. I showed up right on time at 9 AM—only to be told they had no cars available. Excuse me? Then they told me that even if a car came in, they couldn’t hold it for me… despite the fact that I already had a reservation. Completely absurd.
I spoke with the manager at the location, and he told me confidently that he would hold a car and give us a call. Hours later, I got a call from someone else saying they couldn’t hold the car after all. Not only was this completely unprofessional, but the person on the phone was also rude and dismissive, despite the manager having promised otherwise.
This experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful—especially since I did everything right: booked early, showed up on time, and was fully prepared. Hertz and this location showed zero care or accountability for completely dropping the ball.
Needless to say, I’ll never be using Hertz again.

Made a reservation. Received a confirmation text and email. Received another text the morning of pick up reminding me of my reservation. I arrive to the location before they open. Once open I wait about 25 minutes before an agent is available. During that time, a couple who walked in right before me, are meeting with another agent. I hear them say they don’t have a reservation. They give a good sob story and end up getting a car. I sit down with the available agent, tell him I have a reservation and give him my last name. He looks at a list, finds my name and says he doesn’t have anything available. If there were no cars available I should never been able to make a reservation. Prior to booking with Hertz I tried to book online with Enterprise and they wouldn’t let me book at my preferred location because they didn’t have availability. Hertz should do the same thing. Additionally, they were several people waiting and at no time did either of the agents working make any announcements about availability. They could have easily said if you made a reservation in the last 24-48 hours we’re sorry but we don’t any cars available. Instead they let me waste a half hour sitting there and another hour traveling around to find a rental. Fortunately, the guys at Enterprise at SYR airport and at 3605 Brewerton Rd coordinated with each other to help me out and provide me with a rental.

I had a reservation for my daughter sweet 16 birthday. She wanted to rent a Tesla. I came in and made a reservation the day before for a Tesla. I get there give them my credit card my license and they tell me they don’t accept my credit card so now my daughter‘s birthday is messed up. She doesn’t get a Tesla that I reserved Bad service. Do not go to this location 2.8 star rating no wonder why thought I’d give him a try, but I will be going to the airport close his business down. I thought a credit card is a credit card regardless if it says credit or debit on it if it says credit, it’s a credit card.Period

This place scammed me . Driving a vehicle they didn’t maintenance or took care of since November, but guess who paid for a vehicle that’s was never in good shape ME ! Did my research when it broke down , because why would a rental car break down matter or 3-4 weeks . Come down to it they don’t take care of the cars . They said they would help never did get a phone call for help , called them plenty of times to get excuses and run around . They will scam you please please stay away from this location . They don’t care about you or your or the vehicle they put you in , just make sure your ask if the car got maintenance before driving off . They’ll see my lawyer soon :)

I’d give zero stars if I could. Not usually one to write negative reviews, but I made a reservation after my car broke down and arrived only to be told they “don’t honor same day reservations made through the Hertz website.” Parking lot is full of rental cars. Policy is bogus. Avoid this branch if possible.
