Below zero stars if it was possible. All cars are dirty. Employees are lazy, they don't wanna clean the cars so they charge you a $400 cleaning fee.

I will be seeing them in Court, lie about reservations, had a completely different person on my account and had the nerve to act like I am the problem after forgetting to even leave the key fob in the car so I had to come back to Syracuse and again today, was confirmed for a gas vehicle got an ev and learned what a joke that was, dirty people there

Rented through the uber app.The car was given to me unwashed with a front end shake,was given a voucher to go the garage to have it fixed. Seemed understaffed,long wait times.Was disappointed with my experience.

Pathetic service. Don't book from Hertz. They have charged us two times. Not even refunding back. Staff also so much careless and rude.

Picking up the car was slow because many customers were waiting, and some had very complicated, time-consuming issues that needed to be ironed out. The car worked well, and drop-off was quick and painless. May depend on what time of the day and week you arrive/depart. Overall would rent here again under the right circumstances. The staff all seemed very helpful and competent once it was your turn to see them.

Apparently even if you reserved your car and get confirmation number you’re still not guaranteed a car ??smh!! I had to drive an hour away so the lady and front desk to tell me there booked even thou I reserved and had confirmation number. And the first time I reserved and booked with them couple months ago when I confirmed reservation they sent me to location on genesee st that was closed??♂️

Its disappointing that after Enterprise refused me, I would have thought that Hertz would help but because I didn't have a reservation I couldn't rent a car. I wanted to spend this weekend with my son and now I cannot because they don't service walk-ins.

I rented one car and it didn’t have brakes. They pulsated and squealed when backing up. There was a stain on the front seat that could be coffee or something else chocolate brown. Foot wide by foot deep. Not a little stain. Car banged up and drove too loose for my comfort. I returned it and rented a new one today. In the new one I was bouncing down the road like I was sitting on a dryer. I had to manually get out to adjust the mirrors because the buttons didn’t work. Seems they should be paying me to drive that car. It reminded me of my first car I bought as a teen that was missing the floor board. I went 60 miles round trip in a Nissan Altima that had 108k on it. They said the tank was full. I ended up having to leave to fill it back up, costing me 3x more than the $8 I used in fuel. Plus, half of that fuel was just driving back to Syracuse to return the car.Now ask me about the first car… it was rented out again by the time I got back. Now ask me how much they cared… they didn’t at all. As I was sitting there I was listening to a lady talking to customer service about a $160 charge she was disputing after she was sent out in a rental with bald tires, had to have a tow company and all.I finally called my insurance company and switched my rental to Enterprise. Strange thing happened. I went there. I rented a car. I left there. All was well in my world. Syracuse NY. I will NEVER rent from them again. I wonder how long it wlll take me to get my money back for my couple of hour country road ride in the bumpy car. Too bad I don’t know anyone pregnant. I could’ve helped induced labor. Ridiculous. So ridiculous.

It’s unfortunate that their employees don’t show up but you can’t take it out on the customers. We returned our car early after being very patient with the check out process and them not having cars! (What!?Yet they kept telling people to wait and they can get some for Uber) and being entirely too hectic. We waited over an hour- felt bad for the employee who ran right out to vacuum the car for us. The 3 people before us had small concerns with their rentals cars and we figured it best to just shut up and get out of there. Unfortunately they’ve charged us almost $1000 over what was agreed and won’t drop any charges. 3 separate times they’ve charged the wrong amount. They haven’t even sent out a final inspection or contacted us about closing. Unable to reach anyone at this location after calling 3 times and I’ve only gotten some assistance from their corporate number. Which is Who told me this location is the one charging my card without authorization even with record of it being returned. It was then FINALLY one (1!!) charge could be “cancelled” but it will be pending until both sides release the funds. I recommend not ever renting from here unless you can afford to throw your money away.

Had these clowns try and claim my own personal vehicle that is is about 15 years old with a clean title and a NYS DMV title trace show it was never owned by Hertz. Clowns had some tow company haul my car off in the middle of night (stole it). Then fail to answer any of my questions. Car was returned a day later after threatening to sue the tow company. Not sure if this location is responsible for the illegal tow or not, Hertz is. Never heard of them until a week ago. I don't travel very often or very far outside of my county.

Was given a rental thru Heritage Lincoln because they had no loaners left. They gave us a FILTHY car and if you went over 50 mph it sounded like the bottom of the car was going to fall off! Went back to Hertz and the manager, a total jerk, was extremely rude and uncooperative! I dont know how this business is still operating with all the negative reviews!!!! Im reporting the manager to Hertz Corporate.

Car had a lot of damage as well as the inspection sticker was expired so caused me to get pulled over at a dwi checkpoint that I then had to explain that I had just picked it up and was unaware of the said issue I also have pictures of the food smashed in it and the stains everywhere and damage all on outside of the car roof had big dents just a mess all the way around

The guy at the front desk wouldn’t help us at all and was very rude! Racist! Wouldn’t help nor would he let us rent something smaller that we could afford! I am very upset about this and highly suggest to go to another rental place!
