“We popped into Spirits of Cairo right after checking into our hotel in Leeds, just as a big snowstorm was rolling in—so naturally, it felt like the right time to stock up on bourbon.
I can honestly say this is the best bourbon selection I’ve ever seen. An incredible lineup of private barrel picks, New York locals, and small producers—it’s truly a whiskey lover’s dream. You could spend hours exploring the shelves, and the staff are absolute pros: knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely excited to talk whiskey.
If you’re anywhere nearby—or even just passing through—this place is 100% worth the stop. Grab a bottle (or three), chat with the guys, then head next door to G-Spot (some say it’s hard to find 😉) for a cocktail or glass of wine and a bite to eat.

“Chuck's Windham Liquor Store has been a staple in the community for decades for a reason. An absolute gem of a shop! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to recommend the perfect bottle, whether you're looking for an everyday table wine or a special gift. Their selection is fantastic, featuring a great mix of local NY offerings and international classics. Fair prices and excellent service—highly recommend!”

“Came here on a Saturday, and was immediately greeted by the very friendly owner. I asked for a recommendation on a unique and especially pungent wine, and he gave me a few to choose from (all reasonably priced), explaining each wine in detail. I appreciated how knowledgeable he was about all the various natural wines, without being intimidating about it! He provided a warm atmosphere, without being pushy. The owner also excitedly recommended an amaro that we had been eying, explaining how it was the cheaper alternative to a well known amaro for cocktails (PS we have since opened the bottle, and agree that this is a fantastic alternative). Before we left, he let us try a reserved Chartreuse! We loved this shop, and think it's worth a stop if you are looking for interesting selection of liquor and wines.”
