Hmmm. Reviews they do not like disappear!
Also notice as reviews disappear...they responses to the postings only go to five star positive. No apologies ir corrections to the negative reviews. Shows management could care less to attempt to improve.

Never trust them to order anything and have you pay upfront.
Never trust them for putting in an order.
Never trust them your order will ever arrive.
Never trust them to call you..when they say they will.
Why pay high prices for good service you do not receive?
Still waiting for an item I was promised in two days..and told it had been ordered while I was in the store.
ACE Brunswick NY is the reason I no longer go out to Support Local.
II will order with front door delivery overnight.
Or go pay less at a box store where I do the work..and I get the item I want, pay. Head out.
Last time I use Ace Brunswick!!!!!
ACE is the place ..where I still do not have my promised paid for item.
Spend the 10 minutes and drive to Lowes or Home Depot...or next door is Habour Frieght. Then you have what you need and can move forward. Time is a commodity you cannot get back ACE could care less!

The entire store is over priced. Went looking for a bag of concrete and it was almost double what you can get it for at Home Depot. I asked one of the attendant if they price matched and he told me no (7/3/23). I'm hearing a Home Depot is going to be built on hoosic street, thank God. I always try to support local but these guys are just robbing people.Ace Hardware in store price $11.99 and online $9.99.Home Depot Latham $6.71

Great selection. I like to support the local stores. My complaint is selling items over manufacturers list price. I bought a Weber accessory and while in the store I looked it up and the price advertised was more than MSRP. I can buy it elsewhere and have it shipped for less. On a separate occasion I ordered a part from Stihl that offered free shipping to store and they would deliver it to the store. When I came to pick it up they wanted to charge me for shipping. I ended up reordering it and having it sent to my house.

First and foremost the team at this store is fantastic!However, the online ordering and stock level system is a mess. Multiple items were out of stock that were listed as in stock. It also took over two days to find out an online order was unable to be fulfilled. The Hatchet name is really sullying the True Value brand.

Very poor customer service and just plain bad manners at the paint dept. I would typically visit this store 2-3 times a week but I will never set foot in there again

Not a bad store they have a Lotta knickknacks and items. How many times I have to plead to get somebody to help me. In comparison, I mean over and over again. I think they could help you out more by bringing your items out to your car or assisting you better. The prices are definitely somewhat higher than other value stores. When you have issues and you request to speak with a manager, your phone calls are not returned. That says a lot.
