“I can’t recommend the women at The Alteration Studio enough! Not only is the studio beautiful clean and welcoming, but from my very first fitting it was obvious how experienced and knowledgeable they are. Angela pinned everything she felt needed to be altered and pointed out little details I never would have noticed on my own, but once she explained them, it was clear how much of a difference they would make in the overall fit of my dress. Angela also picked out a beautiful veil to match my dress and gave me a great deal on it, and as a type B bride who waits til the last minute for everything, having another thing checked off the list was so relieving!!

What I appreciated most was how honest she was. There were a few things I thought I might want to change, including altering some of the structure of the corset. Instead of automatically agreeing, Angela took the time to explain why it wasn’t necessary, what it would look like if we did make those changes, and that it likely wouldn’t make much of a difference. I really appreciated that she was looking out for me rather than trying to add unnecessary alterations and cost.

After my second fitting, I decided I wanted to make one small change. I called, and they fit me in the very next day to make sure everything was exactly how I envisioned it. That level of customer service meant so much, especially with the stress of wedding planning.

I picked up my dress today, and I couldn’t be happier. The alterations are absolutely flawless. My dress is incredibly detailed, yet you genuinely cannot tell it was altered at all, it looks like it was made specifically for me. The fit is perfect, and I feel so confident wearing it. Angela’s attention to detail, honesty, and talent are truly exceptional. If you’re looking for someone to alter your wedding dress, I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

Her daughter Julia was in the store helping us and was fantastic throughout the appointment, and her younger daughter was also in store. It was so nice seeing the whole family working together, including Yvonne’s mom. You can truly feel how much care they put into the experience for every bride.

They were also incredibly accommodating to our group. We had a private room for the appointment, which made the experience feel intimate and allowed us to celebrate the moment together. We even had a baby with us, and they were so kind and helpful, which made everything feel relaxed and easy for our group.

It was also so fun to see the energy in the store. There were girls there looking for prom dresses, and at one point we all actually stayed to watch one girl try on a gown because it was that stunning and fit her perfectly. Everyone in the store was cheering her on—it really showed how supportive and joyful the atmosphere is there.

The dresses were beautiful and the service was exceptional. I’m actually from out of town, but I would absolutely travel back here to find my own wedding dress in the future. If you’re looking for a bridal boutique where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and truly taken care of, I cannot recommend Bridal Gallery by Yvonne in Latham enough. Such a special place and an unforgettable experience!!! It was such a special day for my best friend and she felt amazing!!”

“?????Excellent experience that exceeded expectations! My daughter’s bar was set high for something super unique, stunning and original— a tall order it turns out. We tried on a lot of dresses (trust me!) but nothing seemed to capture her vision. Most were “basic” in style or something so many other girls were wearing.After prom try-one at all the other shops in the Capital Region and not one “wow” moment, we were soooo happy to visit Juliet House of Brides. Both owners were very down to earth and welcoming, kind, helpful when we needed and not pushy at all. We arrived shortly before the shop was closing and there was never one moment where we were rushed which I appreciated. They listened and gave us their complete attention. The shop is small BUT they more than make up for it with a beautiful selection of quality-made gowns.After just a few minutes looking in the racks everyone in the store heard my daughter gasp loudly and we knew immediately that she’d found the one! It literally took her breath away! It ended up fitting almost perfectly, was part of the Jovani line without us realizing (and this was what she had her heart set on), was priced almost $300 off —-and for all the extensive beading was perfectly intact. I think the owners even teared up with me when she walked out in it— absolutely gorgeous!
