The pioneer Brunswick branch is always helpful. The people working there, take time for you . They help no matter what the problem is. Christina Ellsworth, the assistant branch manager help me get out of a money scam and walked me through how to take care of the problem. She was so nice and helpful.

I chose pioneer bank because its local and had a free checking account. I just received a letter in the mail that they "upgraded" my account and now i have to pay a monthly fee... i never asked or consented to this they just did it. If i never saw that letter i would be being charged without my knowledge. I am going to bring this up to legal counsel to see how this is legal because it shouldn't be and i suggest anyone with a checking account does the same.

I cannot stand this branch and two of the women who work at this branch on Hoosick Road, Troy. I am sorry that I did not see their name tags through the drive-thru lane. I will find them out, and update for accuracy. Horrible attitude. I have never had a more frustrating experience in my entire life, it was as if I were speaking to robots. Blank, expressionless faces as they repeated a mantra over and over, offering no help. Zero comprehension. Zero compassion. Zero problem solving skills, it truly was worse than any automated service you could imagine, but these were "real" people. The one who seemed to be in charge was a very heavyset woman with long dark hair. A very angry, woman. Snotty and loving the power she wielded over me on this day. She openly relished in my despair. The fact is, you have to be a human being some time, you can't always be an expressionless, thoughtless, cyborg, void of any basic common sense or logic. A man (me) is in front of you with a check made out to himself for less than $150. The check is from the business account of a lifelong customer of Pioneer bank, a customer in good standing. I send the check down the tube to you, endorsed properly. I send it along with my drivers license and my social security card, as a courtesy. Long story short, after a several minute wait-I have two of you telling me you WILL NOT cash this check because my drivers license has expired. My drivers license is expired. YES, my drivers license has just recently expired, however it is clearly me on the license. I explained to her that also on my person, in addition to the license and SS card she held in her hand, are my three prior picture licenses dating back to my learners permit, as well as a health insurance card. I explained to them that I am in a bind, a financial emergency on this day. I really humble myself. I explain how I have driven fifteen miles one way to this bank, in a horrible storm because I need this little bit of money. I really needed it. I lowered myself and calmly begged and pleaded with these women, I offered everything I had on me and even though it was clear that they knew it was me and stated such, they simply would not help and took pleasure in my horrible circumstances. I am writing this while very bummed out and angry as well, an expired drivers license is between myself and the DMV, not me, the DMV, and these two at the Pioneer bank on Hoosick Road, Troy. Clearly, I was who I said I was. I had all of the proof in the world. I wouldn't have minded or been insulted if they felt the need to call the man who wrote the check, who by the way, just so happens to be my Father, who because he did not have cash on hand, reimbursed me for a purchase I made for him via his company check. I am beyond angry, this didn't have to happen like this-you caused me tremendous hardship, it may not sound like a big deal to someone who may be reading this, but my circumstances are my own, and on this day-this was a terrible, terrible hardship. Shameful. I hope it made your day.
