Speedway is a favorite late night pit stop and goto gas station with great deals. Customers never have to wait to cash out, and a friendly cashier is sometimes working. However, it can be a little messy and there is constant harassment by homeless people for money with rampant drug use in the parking lot, making it questionable at times. The store uses a touch screen to rate cleanliness, the restroom, and ease of shopping.
We were just passing through and stopped in, and the young blonde man working there was so incredibly helpful and kind to an older disabled man who was trying to buy some trinkets for his grandkids. It is rare to see such humanity on display. I hope he never loses that.

Generally the place is busy and employees are ok at making you feel welcome and valued. Store is small and limited but you can find most things quickly. The store is old and needs updating as its presentation and cleanliness is ok. There are two bathrooms for customers but not always working.

It was 9:25 PM on Sunday May 25, quiet in the Speedway gas/convenience store on N Genesee St Utica… the staff was friendly, professional and helpful…a real credit to the store…working several days in a row, on the holiday weekend…😇
