As a person of color when entering certain spaces there is an innate tension that ‘this will be THAT day’, so having a welcoming staff eliminates that concern and makes shopping an enjoyable experience. Perhaps sharing a love of pets helps remind people to lead in kindness. My Grandpupee’ (pu-pay) Huey was the recipient of those feelings with a much more generous budget.
I thank the Elmont / Valley Stream staff for the natural jovial mood.

The bacon, egg, and cheese is ? crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, melted cheese, and stacked just right on a hot bagel. Portions are solid and the flavor is on point every time. Staff is fast, friendly, and professional. This is my go-to spot for a proper BEC. Highly recommend. Best Breakfast spot in Valley Stream!

155 Rockaway Ave, Valley StreamI decided to try this spot instead of Magic Bagels and what a pleasant surprise! Not only are the bagels huge, but also soft and delicious. The workers were super nice. I got half a dozen bagels, half pound of cream cheese, and a large iced coffee for $20- can’t beat that. Would I sit down and eat here? No. But for carry out it’s the perfect spot.
