Garden City Park Animal Hospital
290 Denton Avenue, New Hyde ParkDr. Julie is truly one of the most honest, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring veterinarians I have ever met.
Before finding Dr. Julie, I had already been to six different appointments with my cat. At every one, I was told that they could not help us and that I needed to find a clinic with different equipment. Every visit came with another charge, and as a single-income household, this was becoming incredibly difficult for me.
I found Dr. Julie because her clinic had the equipment that was supposed to be needed for my cat’s condition. Unfortunately, when I arrived, we discovered that a special attachment was required, one specifically used by veterinary dermatologists. I was absolutely devastated. I was so overwhelmed and frustrated that I actually started crying because I felt like I had spent so much money going from one place to another without getting any closer to helping my cat.
Dr. Julie did something I will never forget: she did not charge me for the visit. On top of that, she spent a significant amount of her own time researching and finding a specialist who could actually help us. She sent me all the information, offered to make a referral, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a path forward.
That level of kindness, honesty, and genuine concern for an animal and their family is incredibly rare. Dr. Julie never made me feel like I was just another appointment or another bill. She truly cared about helping my cat.
I honestly don’t know how I can thank her enough for everything she did for us. Leaving this review is the least I can do. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, honest, compassionate veterinarian who puts your pet’s well-being first, you can stop looking. I cannot recommend Dr. Julie highly enough. She is truly a wonderful doctor and an even more wonderful human being.

Catnip and Carrots Veterinary Hospital
2056 Jericho Tpke, New Hyde ParkRecently found them thanks to recommendations from other bunny owners. They have taken good care of our bunny so far and with very good follow up. Based on my experiences with other vetinary offices, this place is much better and would highly recommend.

New Hyde Park Animal Hospital
615 Jericho Tpke, New Hyde ParkDr. Pellegrino and her entire team have been truly amazing in caring for my senior dogs. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate. You can feel how much they care, not just about the pets, but about the people who love them too.
They took such gentle, thoughtful care of my dog Littleboy throughout his senior years, and I will always be grateful for the love and respect they showed him. During one of the hardest times, their support meant more to me than I can fully express.
They are continuing that same level of care with my dog Babygirl, helping us focus on keeping her comfortable and supported. Dr. Pellegrino always takes the time to explain everything clearly and never makes me feel rushed or unsure. I always feel heard and reassured after speaking with her.
What really stands out is the warmth and empathy of the entire team. My dogs have always been treated with such gentleness and dignity, and that means everything to me.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found them, and I cannot recommend Dr. Pellegrino and her staff enough, especially for anyone caring for senior pets.

Gary Dattner D.V.M
290 Denton Avenue, New Hyde ParkSeveral months ago, my 12 year old Lab had severe discoloration around her right eye along with significant discomfort. Prior visits to another veterinary clinic had not been able to address the problem, but Dr. Datner was able to identify and treat the problem within one visit. He is very thorough, thoughtful and systematic in his approach to treating his patients. If I had waited for a veterinarian ophthalmologist, I am not sure my dog would have healed. I highly recommend Dr. Datner.

Pantano's Doz Bagels New Hyde Park
2413 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde ParkWe visited Pantano's Doz Bagels in New Hyde Park and told them to surprise us, no allergies, just go for it! Everything we got was amazing.
The bagel of the week (scallion cream cheese with bacon and jelly) was so good. The uncrustable had chocolate inside it and my kids couldn't get enough. The Jose Burrito with egg whites, turkey, cheddar, and smashed avocado in a spinach wrap was a great lighter option. We also had a strawberry smoothie and an iced coffee, both delicious.
Parking was easy, the staff was great, and the menu has so many creative options. We'll definitely be back to try more, highly recommend if you're in the area!
