“I recommend coming here because they stock New Scotland Spirits, the premium local brand of spirits and I ALWAYS SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! New Scotland Spirits is now offering their premium line of Helderberg whiskies, including their flagship Helderberg Single Malt Whiskey, Helderberg Winter Wheat Whiskey, Helderberg Straight Rye Whiskey, and their Helderberg Bottled in Bond Bourbon. This is the first place I check when those guys come out with new lines of spirits. Thank you for supporting local businesses!”

“Was in Albany visiting family after their surgery. Came across this gem here on yelp. Mary not only offers cheese made from raw milk, but also makes a killer grilled cheese sandwich. I will be back. Thank you.”

“It's the only Wicker Store that I will ever go to. The owner is always there and very nice and welcomes you as soon as you walk through the door. He's also very helpful if you can't find what you're looking for.”

“Oliver's Beverage in Albany is an in-the-know type booze and wine store. It's best in the summer. The shelves are expertly marked by region and by category. Find German beer, soda, small bottle shooters, whiskey cask beer, French wines, Italian whites, 6 packs, singles and even a fountain (that I have not tried out yet) to fill beer-growlers with that good Winter Lager or IPA. It's a very large shop and it would be nice if there were (it's a Yelp tip Oliver's..) a place for pregnant moms and old folks to sit: inside or outside. The prices are a bit on the higher end but you find oddities and some nifty finds, only here. Pretty good assortment. Review: 5”

“The best liquor store in the Capital District. The outside looks shabby ( it's going to be updated soon) but the inside is great. Stop in and say hello to Thapa behind the counter. Tell him Mike sent you. Great selection. Excellent prices. Look for the flashing arrow on Central Ave. near Osborn.”

“My wife and I stopped in to purchase some tequila. We found this establishment to be very charming and had a fantastic conversation regarding the store and many things tequila. Both the lady and the young man were engaging and welcoming. The selection of unique spirits and containers were intriguing enough to draw you in to look at every item. A must see stop. W will certainly be back!”

“Always open as they say theyll be and always they have what I'm looking for. A plus. But I would like to add, I think, if liquor Stores did the "buy one get one", ten punch cards it'd be pretty awesome!”

“This store is small, but they have a great selection. They have a nice selection of New York state spirits, which is an added bonus. It is located in Stuyvesant Plaza, so very convenient.”

“A nice little wine shop with a great selection of wines! The selection isn’t huge but they make up for that in the quality of what they sell. I don’t know much about wine, so I pick my usual price point, location of the vineyard and then pick whatever bottle looks the coolest. So far I haven’t been disappointed using this process here! The staff is also always friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend”

“What a great experience working with Emily at Remedies. I ordered a gift bottle for pick up and she was so helpful in making it happen as I hoped. She put it in a lovely gift bag (sent me a pic) and even attached a special card with our message. And she had it all ready in a nanosecond. Cheers, Remedies!”

“This store has different names depending on where you search. The sign over the door says "Westmere Wine and Spirit." On Google you'll find both "Westmere Wine & Liquor" and "Westmere Liquor Store," and here on Yelp, it's also "Westmere Liquor Store." But they're all the same place, at 1810 Western Avenue. For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.”

“Jay is the best! He opens the store every day of the year except one. He learns who his regulars are, what they like, and can make really great recommendations if you're looking for something different. We got our wedding favors from him.i highly recommend this store.”

“Great people and nice selection of wine and spirits. Pay no mind to the stupid review by Will S. as he obviously wouldn't be happy if someone gave him 100 dollar bills...Stop by and see Mr. Vincent and his great store. Great location and easy parking.TK”

“The Brew Crew at Westmere Beverage is, hands down, the best staff and store in the Capitol District for beer. Have been going here for years and it continues to improve. Highly recommended for selection, price, knowledgeable and friendly staff.”

“Really nice spot in Delaware Plaza. We normally visit Empire Wine when we need adult beverages in the Albany area, but stopped in here since we were already nearby to meet friends for dinner. They have a nice selection of NYS wines and liquors right when you enter the store and they had some selections from my favorite wineries in the Finger Lakes (although, sadly, they don't carry Ravines). They also had some nice selections of Garnacha from Spain. I scored two reasonably priced bottles ($10 and $13). The store is well laid out and the checkout person was super nice. I would most definitely return here next time I am in the area.”

“Friendly and helpful staff. Large selection. Not sure about the "discount" part of the name as prices seemed in line with other wine and liquor stores in the area. They do have a rewards program.”

“I would highly recommend Bosnia’s Liquor to anyone. I went to them for some wine for my Bridal party and they not only helped me get what I wanted they wen above and beyond to make sure they got it for me. I would give them 100 or more stars because the entire group of people there made my day! Thank you to each and everyone of you for a job greatly done! Thanks again!”

“This is a great neighborhood shop, very impressed with what they have done with the place. Nice selection/assortment for the space. I appreciate that they carry a number of local and NYS based spirits. As an added perk - if they don't carry what you are looking for, just let the staff know and they will do everything they can to stock it for you.”

“Plaza 7 is a family-run liquor store in the Plaza 7 Commons located right next to Galleria 7 Market, which is quite convenient. If I were getting take-out from anywhere in Galleria 7 or nearby, I'd certainly stop in here to get a bottle of wine or two to go with my meal, and there's a small cooler in the back with some already-chilled wines. It's not a large store, and the size is reduced a bit more by the center aisle being an "employees only" area. So they're forced to pick and choose what they sell, and I think they made good choices. As you walk in, the wines are on the right, very well organize, with competitive prices. Liquor and liqueurs will be on the left, with a significant assortment of whiskeys. Prices are reasonably competitive here. Service is friendly, I was greeted as soon as I walked in.”

“A bit of a drive for me, but worth it for the selection. The prices are good and they're the only place I've found "locally" that has any kind of sherry selection. Great for classic cocktail enthusiasts....”

“The young man that were here Friday Dec 23rd were great! I needed Bailey's original and they did everything to find enough to make sure I had it for my cheesecake! I even brought the one that was working on Christmas Eve back a small version as a surprise.Thank you very much have a Happy New Year!”

“Ok. This review is so long overdue and for what it's worth, there are lots of ridiculous 1 star reviews from people for petty reasons. Let's just get that out of the way. I've been to every liquor store, but we live in strange times and I stopped at that high volume spot by the red bullseye and they were selling Buffalo Trace for $70 and Eagle Rare for $90. Fortaleza Blanco (though they didn't have any) was in the locked cabinet! They had Blantons for $170. Why would anyone shop at a place taking advantage of people. Which brings me to my point. This is a family owned and operated business in a tiny space. If you spend a little time talking to them like people, they have terrific recommendations at pre-Covid prices! Could they charge more? Yes. But you have to respect a business that isn't gouging the local customer even with bourbon and now tequila hunters ruining it for the common person who's not looking to flip booze on the secondary market for twice the price. I walked in. Need a case of mixed wines averaging $15 a bottle. Boom. Terrific selection and everyone enjoyed the tasting. Looking for this bottled-in-bond. Let me write it in my book. Boom. On the shelf. No Fortaleza? Any recommendations. Boom. Verify good. Not quite as good, but a SOLID substitute. Today. I said thanks for the recommendation. Still haven't seen my tequila in a year. "Hold on he says." Boom. Brings me a bottle from the back. $55. Not the $129 I'm seeing online. They have a solid inventory for a small shop. But hands down. Without a doubt. The best prices in the region.”
