“Park Place Wine in East Hampton is a total gem. Their selection is absolutely top-tier—whether you’re after everyday favorites or rare finds, they’ve got you covered. I was blown away by how well-curated everything felt. The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to help with recommendations without being pushy. It’s the kind of place where you actually enjoy browsing. Best part? They carry my favorite German Riesling, which I’ve had a hard time finding elsewhere. That alone keeps me coming back. The store is also beautifully organized and easy to navigate, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just looking for a great bottle for dinner, Park Place Wine is the spot. Easily my favorite wine shop in the Hamptons. “This wine shop kick started an incredible evening for me in Amagansett. I have been drinking Lucien Crochet’s Sancerre blancs, rosés, and rouges for a long time. His older Cuvée Prestige bottlings would rival some pretty top and tasty Premier Cru Burgundies. I would recommend a stop at Crochet’s winery for those visiting the Loire Valley, along with Thierry Germain, Nicolas Joly, as well as Catherine & Pierre Breton. Don’t waste your time trying getting into Didier Dagueneau these days.
Unfortunately, the first rosé I purchased from Amagansett Wine & Spirits seemed to be quite corked. It’s been over 20 years in the business for me, and I must have a low tolerance for TCA. I returned to the shop and, despite an initial friction among us, the manager agreed to take the bottle back for a replacement, which for me was another bottle of the Crochet. The second bottle was singing and just perfect for the afternoon hanging outside Stephen Talkhouse before seeing Rick Davies of Supertramp.
A big thank you to the shop’s manager and staff. Great selection and they know their wine and how to handle sticky issues like the aforementioned one. I will recommend the shop to anyone visiting the Hamptons.

“Incredible service doesn't do Hilary justice!!! I ordered a bottle to be delivered to a wedding for my best friend that I couldn't make. Not being from LI, I didn't realize that it was a ferry ride away. Hilary was the most thoughtful person, contacting her brother on Shelter Island who owns a liquor store on SI to figure out a way to deliver the bottle to the wedding venue. She also contacted the venue to let them know it's coming. My friend's father passed away shortly before the wedding and this is what we used to drink together. The caring thoughtfulness that Hilary showed meant more to me than I can express. I never write reviews but this level of service and humanity is very noteworthy.”
