“Our Beacon postal workers are like family. With zero exceptions I have always been taken care of promptly, efficiently, cheerfully and with the extra bonus that I get to interact with people who know me. The service has always been outstanding. The building itself is very beautiful. While waiting in line I never cease to be fascinated by the exquisite WPA era pastel murals that grace the interior. Our Beacon post office is one of of our town's jewels. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful postal service.”

The delivery people are friendly, the post office employees are very kind and willing to work with you, and they are able to adjust during extenuating circumstances. “Excellent Post Office. I’ve always loved the USPS and very happy that this town has a great one. The self-serve kiosk is a huge advantage and allows shipping and stamp purchase 24 hours, in addition to it being a nice alternative at busy times or when in a rush. It’s a dated building, but the main purpose is utility and not a beauty contest so that’s certainly no deterrent. The staff is excellent, particularly Rebecca and Robert, after Jose retired being long-standing customer-focused friendly staff member. In a small “downtown” area of the hamlet of Hopewell it’s conveniently located. Always happy coming to do business here.”
“Always a pleasant experience. I think they catch a lot of flack because some people don’t know the rules, hours, cost or just impatient. If you are in a rush, leave earlier. If you need a passport, make an appointment and have all your documents and application completed prior to the appointment ,if you are shipping don’t expect the post office to provide you tape etc. or just go to the post office 🏤 on Broadway and wait outside the door in an even longer line (I suggest winter or Summer, if you are looking for an experience) There are more important things to gripe about in this world.”

“My husband and I needed to renew our expired passports and also get a first one for our minor child. I researched locations ahead of time and decided to make an appointment at the Wappingers’s post office based on the the ability to schedule an appointment and have our photos taken. The process could not have been smoother. I made an appointment with photos for the three of us, filled out & printed all of the forms ahead of time, brought my checkbook and all of the required documents. We arrived shortly before our appointment time and Johnny’s service was incredibly friendly and efficient. Everything was easy and we were done within a half an hour. If you make an appointment and arrive prepared, the process is incredibly easy. Johnny was really fantastic and had a great attitude.”
