“The store is decent. It felt like it was a little low on certain options. I was there for under layers for my pre teen daughters for their softball game. No long sleeve under layers. Ended up buying 2 of each of other options.”

I found a few items to try on and I came across a lovely girl name Sully who made me feel absolutely beautiful in the dress (yes, I bought it) .. not only was Sully friendly and made me feel good in that dress but when it came time to pay we ended up at the register of Dawne. Dawne was overall joyful, attentive and very friendly. She even mentioned how she saw me in the dress and how nice it looked on me. The quality of the clothing is very good. But, don't expect the wider selection you might see at a department store. They carry mostly seaaonal casual wear.

“I love American Eagle and have been wearing the brand for over a decade. Specifically, their jeggings are of amazing quality that come in a variety of sizes. If I can't find it in store, I can go online and have it shipped to the store for free. Being a millennial, I'm not one for crop tops and super high-rise jeans but I usually find something I like here. The staff at this particular location are always nice and helpful. The store itself is also clean and well kept. I went to return a shirt as well as pick up an online order yesterday and it went seamlessly. Great place to shop and I hope this store at the Waterloo Outlets will stay open.”

“I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous before visiting this store because I had seen some negative reviews on Google Maps, especially comments about racism. As an Asian customer, I was a bit cautious at first, but my experience was completely the opposite.
Everyone I met at the store was incredibly kind, genuine, helpful, hardworking, and definitely not racist. The store also had great deals. Many items were already marked down, and there was an extra 25% off clearance plus a 10% subscription discount. I was able to get a lot of gifts for my family and friends back home at really good prices.
What stood out to me the most was how helpful the staff were. I was shopping for several different people, so I had to try many different sizes and styles. At one point, I was carrying around 10 to 15 pieces of clothing, but they never made me feel uncomfortable or like I was bothering them. When I could not find certain sizes on the floor, they checked the back and also looked in the system for me.
One staff member, a middle-aged White male employee, was especially kind and helpful. I am not sure if he was the same person mentioned in the other negative reviews, but he was very nice to me. He even helped me get the extra 10% discount when my phone was not working and I could not complete the subscription by myself.
I honestly do not know what happened in other people’s experiences, but all 3 staff members I interacted with were incredibly helpful, sweet, and thoughtful. I really appreciated their kindness and patience. I highly recommend this store.
The only small downside was that there did not seem to be as many discounted options for women’s clothing, but overall I had a great experience.”
