About Summit Health - White Plains (formerly Westmed Medical Group)
Westmed Medical Group in White Plains offers a mixed experience based on patient reviews. Many patients praise the excellent doctors, particularly in the oncology and kidney departments, highlighting the lifesaving care provided by specific physicians. The staff is generally described as caring, supportive, and attentive, with some patients feeling comfortable and well-cared for during their appointments. However, there are notable concerns regarding communication, especially when trying to reach the office outside of visits, as messages must be left with receptionists. Billing issues are also a frequent complaint, with patients mentioning overcharges for services like COVID tests and frustrating interactions with the billing department. Additionally, while cleanliness is prioritized, there are reports of staff using disinfectants in a way that can be overwhelming for patients. Overall, while Westmed Medical Group has many dedicated and skilled providers, experiences can vary significantly across different departments and individual doctors. Patients are encouraged to advocate for themselves and trust their instincts regarding their care.

If you call the office, you get (1) a bot with a slew of questions, and (2) someone on another continent answers the phone and knows nothing and can do nothing. Not prepared to have a doctor-patient relationship via Asia.
