“We visited the home and studio of Edward Hopper (1882-1967), a painter who always gives us mysterious feelings and emotions whenever we look at his work. In each of his paintings, you feel a ‘gloomy, lonely, and desolate atmosphere.’ In oriental paintings, this is expressed as “the beauty of blank space,” and similarly, Hopper feels the blank space as “loneliness, emptiness, and transience.””
“Absolutely beautiful display , my daughter was amazed, only disappointment is I thought they were all real pumpkins, some are most are not. Still this is something you need to experience. Take your time and soak it all in! Get there early traffic was horrible, not sure if it is the company running the parking, but they bottle neck everyone in, and ask for a voluntary donation, and get pissed when you decline.”
“The Village of Pomona's Cultural Center is a wonderful place to see art and hear music! It's a beautiful fieldstone Arts and Crafts building, excellently designed and lit to showcase good art. The director/curator, Gde (Tjokorda Gde Arsa Artha), does a great job of putting together compelling exhibits and music events. This is a rare gem. Hours: 2:00-6:00 pm Friday-Sunday.”
“I guess there is a reason why I have been coming here for nearly 20 years. I actually look forward to my next picture that needs to be framed because I know the job Andy at Elegant Poster does is the best!”
“Sal was tremendously helpful with deciding on the frame for the paintings we purchased. He’s a great story teller regarding the history and background of Thomas Kincade himself. I highly recommend Sal and his gallery if you’re looking for Thomas Kincade artwork.”
“The arts center is unlike other galleries in the Hudson Valley region. The exhibits include world renowned and emerging artists side by side. The space is meditatively quiet and the quality of the natural light there is unlike anywhere else in the region. It's among the must visit Hudson Valley institutions.”
