Bought a wrap in this shop. Asked for arugula on the sandwich. It came with no arugula and the wrap was so stale. I had to take it home and remake it on a piece of bread. They should be ashamed of themselves . Yeah, kids making the sandwiches should be much better trained!

Just went to Sidney's with a large food order. Now I have to bring my order to the cash register. Same counter person walks from counter to register empty handed without bringing one item with her, instead leaving me to go back and make 2 trips. When I point that out to her, another server (manager) flips out and starts SCREAMING at me, telling me I was not nice to her. I guess they didn't like my "illegal" comment. Of course, I left without my order. This is a store that is famous for this type of behavior. No more for me!! (BTW, after checking it is an FDA rule to remove the packaging (gross weight) and only charge for the food itself. BTW, I also noted that she weighed my food to include the heavy aluminum container and top and charged for both, instead of net weight only which is an FDA rule. On another note, my friend was there earlier today and told me she was chastised by same person who yelled at me. What a place!!! Grrrrrr

It is recommended that you call your order in before your arrival. All sandwiches and wraps are prepared by hand & to order. The food here is absolutely delicious and by far the best place to eat in WHB. Sydney’s cookies are to die for, the hazelnut is my recommendation along with the Alex wrap.Despite what some of these reviews say about the owner, this place should be first on your list. To avoid the frustration and behaviors, do to its customers, just call ahead!

Food was just ok (salad had too much dressing, quiche lacked seasoning and it was all very pricey). The owner yelling at her employees the entire time we were there was NOT ok. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

Like anything good, it's not cheap. But then again, it's not too much or overpriced. Good selection of food and various other items.

Went for brunch. Greeted by owner castigating waiter for not clearing a table. She loudly engaged a large family group in conversation while their child ran around the room. Ordered fresh squeezed OJ which was so sour it tasted like bad grapefruit juice. Two entrees were okay but the cappuccino came with cold foam on top, not steamed hot milk. Prices were high. Won't be back. Enjoy our brunch at the Eastport diner more at less than 1/2 the price..

Went here for a networking event. The food was very good and fresh. The owner was very hospitable and made sure that everyone was well taken care of.

Sydney's is our go-to for everything from a quick sandwich to gourmet cheeses for entertaining and everything in between. Don't miss brunch starting again Fall 2022.

If you’re looking for an overpriced lunch with a massive side order of nastiness, then Sydney’s is your place. Here, if you have a legitimate question about the prepared foods, the owner will bark her answer at you with annoyance. If you don’t close the front door behind you when you arrive, she gets even more belligerent (advice: invest in a simple hinge that makes the door close on its own.)All of her young employees have the vacant, tortured look of a prison chain gang. Five minutes in her store explains why. She orders them around with ridicule and condescension, thus further adding to the stressful ambiance. The food is not worth having to endure this palpable hostility. On the first two visits, I chalked up her crackling crabbiness to just her having a tough day. But now after the owner recently completed a troubling trifecta of toxicity, I’ve sworn the place off. There are too many good places on Main Street in WHB these days where they still subscribe to the quaint notion that the customer is always right. At Sydney’s, the customer is always wrong. To answer your question, I was in once in late June, once in July and once in August. All three days you were there.

Food is always delicious. Don't give these 1 star reviews too much attention. These demanding 1 star snobs have obviously never worked in food service; they simply don't get it. Sometimes there will be some yelling. You can't find a restaurant where there isn't.

Great menu Great service. Absolutely delicious. Old Long Island deli feel with a great selection. We picked some sandwiches to go.
