Construction in progress on 10-12th floor. No one informed us of this at check in and there is nothing posted at the front desk or on the floors affected. Management said the workers were supposed to start doing construction at 9 AM. However, they started promptly at 7:30 AM which woke me up. Management tried to say that they had informed our company of the construction but upon research that had not happened. I was politely apologized to, and moved to a lower floor where the sound cannot be heard. If given the choice, I would never stay.

Me and my family decided to stay there overnight as soon as we walk in it's a beautiful lobby but the food and drinks are a little overpriced and then we head upstairs to our room The room looked nice as soon as we turned on the lights the rug was not properly vacuum and as soon as I went to the bathroom to shower there was mold on the bathtub the toilet was dirty and while I'm laying down in the bathtub I noticed there was more mold on the left side of the bathtub I expect it better from this place and I have some pictures.Rooms: The room was nice just not properly clean or maintenance.Food & drinks: Food and drinks a little over priced I ordered two long island ice teas and two of the cheapest shots, two orders of hot wings and fries and it came out to $150 I could of went to apple bees and spended $80 for more food and drinks

Truly one of the worst hotels I have stayed at, especially consider they are a "4-star hotel". The lobby is just about the only nice thing about the hotel. In the hallway to my room, there was trash and crumbs on the floor for several days that was not addressed. Not a big deal for me, but just surprising for a 4 star hotel not to regularly clean. My room was on the second floor and overlooked, first all of the hotel HVAC systems on the roof, and then further out a hideous, derelict, empty lot. I know you can't control your neighbors, but the view just added to the general ambiance of the hotel. As others have mentioned, the room was outdated and had peeling wallpaper in some spots, but the most unforgiveable thing to me were the beds. They were SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I was staying by myself in a double bed room so I tried both beds. One of them literally was sagging so bad that you could see it the comforter still in. There's no way that bed isn't older than 20+ and it should have been retired decades ago.Lastly, you have to request to have your room cleaned. Again, this is not an issue for me, but that policy is something I expect from an extended-stay motel, not a 4 star hotel. Give me the option to opt of cleaning, certainly, but for that to be your policy is extremely disappointing and beneath a 4 star hotel.I wish I could say I'd never return again, but unfortunately this is the preferred hotel of my employer

Sonesta White Plains was a perfect place for us to host our conference. We are so thankful to have worked with such a wonderful team of people. Valene, Jackie, Carol Ann and Nisy along with all other staff members were courteous, patient, and very attentive to our needs for the conference as well as our guests. We hope to work with them again in the future!

My overall stay was great but the service you receive for the food side of things have been the best I’ve ever had. Mildrey made sure I was always fine , I stayed for 3 nights and seem like everything I was walking past the eating area I would see her.. either carrying something out or helping someone with their troubles. The rooms were great as well but I was really impressed by her service. Thanks again Sonesta/ Mildrey !Food & drinks: Mildrey is your go to, she is going to make sure you enjoy your experience .

MOVED INTO ANOTHER ROOM BECAUSE OF BUGS AND THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLEANED WITH TOWELS ON THE FLOOR. HAD THE BREAKFAST WHICH WAS A BUFFET AT A COST OF 25 DOLLARS ASKED FOR A CUP TO BRING FRUIT UP TO THE ROOM FOR MY FAMILY JOEY TOLD ME HE WOULD CHARGE ME DOUBLE IF I WANTED A TAKEOUT. I WOULD NOT HAVE BELIEVED IT IF I HAD NOT HEARD IT MYSELF WHAT A CHEESY POLICY FOR A CHEESY HOTEL WITH POLICIES LIKE THIS YOU WILL NOT BE HERE LONG. WITH THE MONEY I PAID FOR THE BREAKFAST ONE WOULD THINK THE TAKEOUT WOULD BE FREE OF CHARGE THE FOOD IS GOING TO BE THROWN AWAY ANYWAY WHAT IDIOTS WHO RUNS THIS HOTEL. WE STAYED IN ROOM 402 CHECKED OUT ON THE 29TH OF JANUARY 2024. WE WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL THERE ARE BETTER ONES IN THE AREA.Noteworthy details: TREAT YOUR GUESTS BETTER

My wife and I used the Sonesta White Plains hotel for our wedding block in September 2023. We were hesitant at first due to the empty construction site out in front of the hotel, but luckily there was still no construction started by the time our wedding weekend came, and honestly all of White Plains is currently under construction. Working with the Sonesta from start to finish was very efficient and seamless. Once we signed our room block contract, we were placed with a service manager Amy who was fabulous! She made adding rooms to the block very easy and was always quick to answer any questions that we had. Some minor hiccups we did experience were when wedding guests using the room block called the front desk when they were trying to make changes to their rooms or when they were having issues booking online. It seemed that there was a disconnect at the front desk, but any issues were quickly resolved when we personally reached out to Amy to assist us. Our on-site contact for. the weekend was Diana who was also very kind. During our wedding weekend, there were a number of other group room blocks, including a few other wedding parties, but the hotel was large enough that it did not matter and we did not hear of any issues with our guests receiving welcome bags at check-in. We also arranged for round trip buses to the venue and experienced no issues with the Sonesta accommodating them. The rooms were decent and the bar area was great for gathering with about 50 of our guests after the wedding. We would highly recommend using the Sonesta for your room block - the prices are hard to beat and the location was exactly what we wanted for our wedding taking place in Westchester.
