I had the worst experience literally left in tears my insurance didn't cover my medicine they said just go cvs call and we will send over the medicine script so I went to cvs we called for over 30 minutes at that point I had to apologize for wasting there time. I went back stated they did not pick up and i called for 30 minutes and if writing a script so I can give cvs pharmacy was impossible and made me feel crazy. They were angry and claimed I lied about calling and that they haven't gotten a ring which a out right lie I confirmed the phone number and when called its stated that's its for the pharmacy and to wait as they are busy. But seeing how that has been everyone’s experience this is very common being rude and insulting to sick people who just want their medicine and some compassion.

Matthew (Daune Reade 60-02 Roosevelt ave., Woodside NY) he helped my wife Barbara McElroy and Myself Bud Mcelroy with the vaccines (Flu Shot) and our medications all in one shot. Matthew went over an above the call of duty. You need to hire more staff like Matthew.

Okay, let me just say this straight: Duane Reade, you failed. Not once, not twice—over and over.
Hold times? Ridiculous. Like I had to age five years just waiting for someone to pick up.
Due diligence? Nonexistent. Nobody checks, nobody communicates, nobody cares.
Transparency? Gone. You don’t tell me what’s going on with my prescription, you just leave me guessing.
Filling meds on time? Forget it. Critical medications, delayed. Always some excuse.
And the cherry on top? The staff attitude—rude. Instead of helping, they act like I’m the inconvenience.
If you actually care about your health, your time, or just basic human respect, do yourself a favor: skip Duane Reade. They are the definition of unprofessional..Im glad I dropped them n went to Zarchy

2 hours wait for the prescription and it turned out it was out of stock. I don’t know why it’s always taking so long. I strongly recommend to send your prescription to the different pharmacy.

complete disregard for patients’ outcomes and/or well being. As a local prescriber , it’s infuriating the average wait time on hold is 1-2 hours . if they cared about human beings they would respond to hospitals requests to
discuss patient care !

The worst pharmacy ever. I am disabled and they failed to deliver a crucial medication promised on a Saturday of a holiday weekend, causing me to go without. They NEVER pick up the phone in the pharmacy unless you call at 9AM and are still put on hold. Orders are never filled on time. NOT RECCOMENDED.
