“Some absolutely classic bay takeout! The diner is quiet, simple, and small but the food packs an absolute punch. My partner had the fish and chips and her pan fried cod was cooked to perfection. Fried in a light batter and a nice, fresh portion likely caught right off the coast of Fortune or Grand Bank.

The poutine with wedges instead of fries for me was the way to go. I have been trying poutine at different spots every chance I get, and this dish is definitely a top choice if I had to pick. Thick cheese curds, crispy wedges, all covered in a thick helping of gravy. This was some of the best poutine I have had on the island, and the portions were just right. Something like this may not be for everyone but if you like poutine or good fries and wedges, try it! It's also no trouble to get a takeout box as all this food along with an order of mozza sticks hit well beyond the spot after a long day of hiking and exploration.

The one thing I would love to enjoy with my meal next time is a beer. They only had standard drink options (soda and water), which was slightly disappointing as I love to enjoy a cold beer with good comfort food. I am unsure of our servers name, but she was attentive, kind, and made much appreciated conversation with us throughout our meal. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Fortune, and I look forward to trying something else that's equally as delicious.”
