“Super Service : The Toy Box Came Through Big Time

I was riding my KTM 1290 across Newfoundland when I noticed my front tire was wearing weird, vibrating, and clearly on its way out. I knew I needed to swap it soon, but KTM dealers are few and far between on the island. I figured St. John’s would be my best shot, so I called a major local motorcycle shop. They couldn’t have cared less — told me it might be a week or more and had no real interest in helping. When I asked if they had any suggestions, they said, “Try The Toy Box.”

I called The Toy Box, and it was night and day.

They picked up immediately, answered all my questions, and while they didn’t have the Trailmax Mission I was hoping for, I asked about a Heidenau K60. Without missing a beat: “Yep, we’ve got one.” I was floored. I told them I’d likely be in Friday morning and they said, “Perfect. Come by around 10 a.m., we’ll get you sorted.”

From that moment on, every single person I spoke to about The Toy Box said the same thing — they’ll take care of you. From a fellow rider near Bonavista to a buddy in St. John’s who doesn’t even ride, the reputation was solid. And let me tell you, they lived up to it and then some.

I showed up at 10:00 a.m. on the dot. Tire was already out and ready. They wheeled the bike straight to the shop, told me to grab a coffee next door. I wasn’t halfway through it before I got a call: “Bike’s ready to go.”

While I was there, I asked about soft straps for the ferry — no problem, we’ve got you covered. Bought a set, paid the bill, and was back on the road just after 11:00. I’ve never had anything go that smoothly on the road.

Besides sports, they also provide access to Pokémon products and supplies as well. Sealed collection boxes, single packs and single cards are available for purchase as well as some binders, sleeves and toploaders, just to name a few card collecting supplies.
