Hours: St. John's Convention Centre is a premier choice for events large and small, located in the heart of downtown. It is a really beautiful place, a great facility, and a pretty nice convention center. It is clean and spacious, with comfortable chairs and 47,000 square feet of divisible meeting space. It has good sized rooms and many spaces for meetings and conventions, with enough rooms to host events. The interior decoration is top notch with plenty of old-world charm. The food was pretty good and the catering service is excellent. The staff was generally very helpful and very courteous. It is a perfect place for a conference, school graduation ceremony, prom, or galas. Some noted that for a social event, there were not many staff to tend bar, resulting in long line-ups. For a person with mobility issues, it would have been nice to find a washroom closer to the great hall. There is no restaurant or snack bar in the building open for lunch, but there are little seating areas to take a break. The building offers a great view over St. John's.
