“I work the night shift, so this is one of the few places in Albemarle that is open any time of night if I need one of the essentials. (As an aside, for those like me who are out at all times of the night due to an irregular work schedule, don't you miss places like Walmart being open 24 hours per day? The pandemic ruined basic access for those like me who are, uh, differently employed.) Anyway, I've been to this location hundreds of times without a negative experience.”

“Great location even without the hot food I'd rather stop here than any other speedway now. The bathrooms and parking lot are always clean. I even watched the manager go out and pump a older gentleman's gas for him because he was having problems. Most employees would complain but she was very nice and just wanted to help. I asked her name so I could leave a review and she said her name was Mindy. She's a keeper.”

“I stop in the Main Street Shell, Albemarle every morning, however the breakfast manager can NOT get up or get to work on time ever! You have great third shift workers but those morning girls need some customer service skills. I work 7 days a week and haven’t missed a day or been late for the last seven months. I understand occasionally things happen, but EVERY morning, come on that’s just laziness!!”

“This place is connected to the Exxon gas station. They have a cafeteria style steam table with four or more vegetable choices and two or three meats, but you can order off the board at the register. The prices are great, two of us ate and had tea for under $16.00! The beef tips tend to be very salty, the fried chicken is good, they have pork chops, chicken fingers, meatloaf, you will probably have to order from the board to get gluten free meats, but they have enough vegetables. They have a ton of desserts. I am partial to the Hawaiian pie. it is an icebox pie, with a sliver of grahmcraker crust, it is full of cherries, pineapple, coconut and pecans! They have home made plain doughnuts, red velvet cake, german chocolate cake, sometimes cookies and bars..they have some whole pies for sale. too much to list. Warning! almost no one was wearing a mask the entire time we were there. They did block off tables, though.”
