My husband and I visited Lowe’s on March 9th to order a new stove/microwave wall unit. Our associate, Kent, said measurements were needed first, which we agreed to. The appointment happened on March 17th, with a promise of a quote in 1-2 business days. It’s now March 26th, and despite endless calls to Kent, Antonio, and Rodney, we’ve gotten nothing—no quote, no updates, just excuses. This morning, we called again, and an incredibly rude associate didn’t even try to help, leaving my husband on hold for 20 minutes with zero resolution. All we want are the measurements we paid for so we can shop elsewhere, but apparently that’s too much to ask. Having both worked in customer service, we know how it should be done, and this is beyond unacceptable. We’re fed up with terrible service everywhere we go, and we’re taking this to corporate. Lowe’s customer service is atrocious, and this has been a complete waste of time and money for an appliance we desperately need. Avoid this place—go somewhere that actually values your business.

Was in a pinch and needed a part. I walked in and didn't get very far before an old lady very abruptly exclaimed to me that they were closed.
"Closed?" I asked.
"Yes! We were closed at 8."
I look at my watch. It was 8:07.
Then another old guy walked up to me with cart with items in it. I thought it was another customer. He said "You gotta go!" I honestly thought he was a customer mocking the employee. I think I actually smirked a little.
"Aw man I really need a part," I said.
"Well we open back up at 6am tomorrow" the first lady sternly said.
Then the old man again says "You need to leave!!!"
I realize he's actually an employee and he's being extremely rude to me. Ok. I'm leaving. I won't be back. Ever. Probably profiled.

The staff seem to hate their jobs, and if you need anything from them they treat you like you're the most inconvenient obstacle they've ever had to get across.
Id rather drive 20mins to a home depot or order what I need online than go to this location.

I needed assistance; I asked someone, and they said they would get someone; after 10 minutes, I asked again. Then again, there was a group of staff there just chatting, ignoring my plight. Someone came to help. But another cusomer had just shown up he got help.
I went to Home Depot

Profiled at the checkout! I came into buy a brush cutter attachment and a jug of weed killer. No one was inline when I scanned my two items, scanned my ID for the military discount and paid with my card. The checkout lady watched me the entire time and watched me put the receipt in my pocket. As I go through the door to leave she stops me and says she has to check my receipt. I told her “You watched me the entire time”. She says, “ I have to check that receipt is dated today and the time stamp matches to be sure you’re not stealing”. Of course this is all happening as she looks my double sleeve tattoos up and down. I was beyond angry so I went to the counter told the manager she was clearly profiling me and I want a full refund. Of course he tells me she’s doing her job! Two other customers came up and told the manager they saw the whole thing and I was right. Lowe’s has officially lost my business. I’ve spent over $100k in the Apex store just in the last 5 years. All that money now goes to Home Depot where I promptly went and bought the same two items for the same price without being looked at as a thief.

Poor Customer Service and Misleading Policies at Lowe’s
I’ve been a loyal Lowe’s customer for years, but my latest experience left me deeply disappointed. I purchased Christmas lights online on December 12, 2024, assuming (as my receipt says) that ‘most items can be returned within 90 days.’ When I tried to return the extra lights after Christmas, I was told that holiday items are subject to a December 24th return cutoff—a policy not mentioned on my receipt and only buried in fine print online.
The lights are unopened and unused, yet the store manager refused to make any accommodation for this unclear return restriction. Instead, I was told corporate policy offers no exceptions. For a $62 issue, this dismissive attitude showed no consideration for loyal customers or fair practices. To make matters worse, Lowe’s largest competitor, Home Depot, doesn’t have such restrictive policies for holiday items.
It’s frustrating to be blindsided by misleading or poorly communicated policies and treated with indifference by management. Lowe’s needs greater transparency in their return policy and better training for staff to show care for their customers. Until this changes, I’ll be taking my business to other home improvement retailers.

The Lowes App is convenient in providing directions to where what you are looking for can be found.

Got really frustrated when try to use the truck rental service at this store. The trucks were sent for inspection for almost a week. When finally they are back, a store assistant refused to give me one and told that I should come before 7 pm. But it’s only 6:50 pm when I talked to her at the counter and it’s more than 2 hours before they close the store. Lowe’s, if you have such a “policy”, before show it on your website!

Drove from north Raleigh to Apex to buy an items that hoped they had 22 of them. Once arrived looked around for 30 minutes and finally asked where the item was located, the manager looked for 5 minutes and said they don't have any and this was not updated since 2023. ☹
