“Top tier. Hats off and hands in the air for these wonderful people. Food, service, and ambience are all superb, and with an exceptional value for the price. We had the unique privilege of working with Cassidy Helmer for nearly three years to plan our rehearsal dinner and welcome party; our event was originally planned for 10.11.24 and needed to be rescheduled to Halloween 2025 due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene. Throughout the entire process—before we booked, between the initial booking and the storm, rescheduling, then staying in touch to finalize details when the event could finally take place, Cassidy deftly helped us manage all the details so our night could be the huge success that it was.
As two folks who spent many years waiting tables, bartending, cooking, managing restaurants, as well as facilitating events, we know the complexities that go into customizing and executing the details for clientele to make everything just right. Cassidy and team knocked this one out of the park, and our event was just as incredible as the wedding itself.
Through the many taxing emails we sent her and our planning meeting, Cassidy heard our wants and needs, and provided feedback or held the venue’s boundaries where appropriate, and with effortless grace. Since my husband doesn’t drink and we had multiple sober guests, she helped us design a signature mocktail and add options to our package so we could offer more options to those folks than tea and lemonade in addition to the alcohol-based options for other guests. She provided a great referral for a day-of liaison to help us manage the flow of the evening. Above all, she was so incredibly patient with us.
We had 50+ guests for dinner, then another 60+ who joined for drinks and snacks after our meal ended. The food was to-die-for—simple but elegant, very fresh and flavorful. Well-presented. Overly generous portions. We were even able to customize our dessert by adding homemade whipped cream. The cheese, fruit, and petit fours served during the later portion of the evening were also generous and served beautifully.
We were astounded at how simultaneously pleasant and efficient the bartenders and wait staff were to us and all of our guests. These folks hustled without seeming rushed. They were polite and just the right amount of gregarious. Empty plates, glasses, and scrunched up napkins were cleared without making us feel like we were in a hurry. You can have the greatest food in the world and lovely ambience, but without good service, the magic is lost—and these people are wizards.
The environment is timeless (and kept very clean). Exposed brick, wood floors and beams, café string lights. You could dress the venue up or down to fit your vibe. And because they’re a full-service event venue, we needed very few rentals. They also offer different decoration packages with tealight candles included for an extremely reasonable cost, which saved us from having to make yet another Amazon order. Amen!
As you can tell by now—if you’re one of the special humans who’s read this far—we simply can’t say enough great things about Cassidy and Century Room, and we know our guests feel the same way, because they told us so.
Thank you all so much for an outstanding, memorable evening, and for putting up with our crazy shenanigans for three years.
The five star rating just doesn’t cut it—you ARE the stars, and when the curtain went up, you shined with brilliance and radiance. Bravo.”
“The space is stunning, the artwork is amazing, and the people who own it are friendly and approachable. This gallery sells fine art. The art is beautiful and interesting. While I haven’t bought anything yet, I’ve always felt welcomed. It genuinely feels like a museum in the fact that it’s not crowded with a bunch of art for sale. Each piece is given its space. The owners are very knowledgeable about the art. They’re happy to talk about the art. It just feels wonderful in there, and is an asset to our city. If you are just visiting Asheville, you should stop by this gallery. If you live in Asheville and like fine art, by all means, you should go downtown and check it out.”
“We hosted our Wedding Welcome Party for about 125 people at Hi Wire's Event Space and had a great experience! The costs are very reasonable in my opinion as well as the bar minimum. Hi Wire includes a lot for the price without nickel and diming you like tables, chairs, black linens, games, photobooth, etc. It was easy to plug my laptop in via HDMI for a looping slideshow. The staff had issue with getting the wireless mic to work but we only had one toast so we projected and it was fine but I'd suggest doing a run through on that before your event starts if a mic is important. Really enjoyed working with Robin...she's a delight! Highly recommend checking out Hi Wire's Greenhouse space too. It's so lovely back there! We just were over capacity for that space. Definitely recommend checking out Hi Wire for your event at very affordable prices!”
“OMG! I love this venue! I catered in Asheville for 20 years and have seen them all. Ella is the perfect downtown venue! Nicole, Sarah, Ian, and Amber were such a delight to work with and bring my vision to fruition. Ella is an elegant downtown building with high ceilings, exposed brick, and fire place mantle to fall in love with. We had a wedding reception for our Asheville local friends and family and I can't imagine having it anywhere else. Thank you Ella!!!”
“I got married in 2021, and we used East West Vintage Rentals and Venue to stage our outdoor wedding and it was perfection. They selected furniture and other items that fit perfect with our wedding theme. They are professionals in every way. Here’s a small snippet of their work”
“Been here 2x now, 2 crazy different types of shows- Souls of Mischief then Obituary. Great place to see live music. Cool staff, crowd. and friendly attentive bartenders! Try the Paloma. Can't wait til next time”
“As an elopement and intimate wedding photographer and planner with Golden Hour Elopements, this is one of my favorite venues. It has an elevated vibe that pairs so well with the beauty of Biltmore. I have attached a few of my favorite photos from a microwedding at the Lioncrest. The food was outstanding and the service was great. I have photographed a lot of weddings in my 17 year career as a wedding photographer and this was one of the best meals I have had at a wedding. Delicious.”
“Veronica and the team at The Collider are top notch. They provide a high quality experience with impressive technology integration for meetings and events. The location is in the heart of downtown Asheville. It’s nearby everything that this mountain town has to offer.”

“Family owned fun filled mini golf course! We love playing at Tropical Gardens Minigolf! Very well maintained and clean! Easy to access off of Patton Avenue. The snowcones are the best in WNC!”
“Greek Festival on Saturday (went early for smaller crowds initially and faster getting our food). Fun music and dancing in the outdoor tent at scheduled times. Great food and desserts. Many vendors throughout the grounds. We did not take the tour of the church (only specific times).”
“Vanessa at We Rock is wonderful to work with! I used her classroom space and it was great. Her gym has really cool equipment and children love it. Highly recommend.”
“Great artist and great human.
Studio and gallery is full of history and edgy design. Don’t miss a visit with Daniel and invest in his intuitive neo-expressionist work.”
“This place is great though it is small. They have good books and plenty of Christian gifts. I visit this place every year and love it. The people here are super friendly and nice too.”

“As a wedding photographer, Homewood is one of my favorite venues to photograph in Asheville. The historic stone manor, beautiful natural light, and elegant indoor and outdoor spaces create stunning backdrops throughout the entire day. The venue has so much character and charm, and every wedding feels unique while still being timeless.
I always enjoy working here and would highly recommend Homewood to couples looking for a beautiful Asheville wedding venue!”
“Cool venue, great sound and space! I would prefer to be able to bring drinks up from the bourbon bar downstairs but I get the laws. They should at least have the show on down there, at least I didn't see it when I was there.”

“We stayed here on a trip to take our son to see Josh Johnson for his birthday. I really just tried to find a decent hotel for the one night stay. My expectations were not high...I can just say that I was pleasantly surprised. As a true member if the OCD club, I don't even like like smell of hotel carpets. To my shock, there was no smell. The rooms looked and smelled clean and fresh. Of course, still gave it a once over with my travel products but my gosh, I could find no excess dirt as I usually do. Kudos to the cleaning staff.
We also went down to the breakfast this morning...more surprises awaited us. Cage free scrambled eggs, omelets, make it yourself waffles (translation, hot), really good coffee. My son, the carnivore, enjoyed the bacon, turkey bacon and sausages. They also had assorted breads, bagels and muffing; yogurts, juices, etc. A true spread.
I forgot my electric toothbrush and they provided me a free toothbrush along with toothpaste. Not to mention the staff was so pleasant throughout.
We will definitely be back since the area was so great with lovely restaurants. Wildwood Still was beautiful with amazing mountain views
views (review to follow).”
“We were immediately blown away by the Biltmore Banquet Hall. Much like the rest of the home, that is outstanding. The huge fireplaces and massive table immediately capture your attention. Looking around and we noticed the massive circular shaped ceiling insuring almost perfect acoustics. The furniture and furnishings are each noteworthy in themselves. It is hard for me to imagine what an eight course meal was like in such surroundings.”

“Seems to be a little bit older but the reclining seats were comfortable and the food wasn't bad. Typical theater prices at the concessions so opening your wallet is part of the experience. The screen was plenty big. We sat a few rows before before the aisle across the middle in the front section.”
“We took our youth to bowling and added food to the our party. It was set up buffet style and everything was great and professional! Everything was clean and the food was hot! What a great place to take your group!”

“This hotel is beautiful clean and close to the highway. All of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. We stopped on the first leg of our vacation and I accidentally left a prescription behind. They found it and offered to ship it or hold it for me until we came back through Asheville. The pool was refreshing. The a/c kept our room cool and comfortable. Thank you! I look forward to staying there again.”

“The location is just a short walk from lots of cute shops and fun restaurants.
The hotel appears to be newer construction and the lobby is clean and well maintained. All of the staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.
The rooms are modern, stylish, and very clean. My complaint is that it is very poorly insulated/soundproofed. There is no carpet in the rooms and the floors and surfaces are generally hard, and when the doors close they are very loud. This means that every time someone allowed their door to close naturally, it woke me up. If the door to the room next door closed, the adjoining wall literally vibrated. And then there were kids running up and down the hall at midnight. Unfortunately that's a parenting issue more than a hotel issue, but posting quiet hours might help? Regardless, in two nights, I don't think I slept more than 90 minutes without waking up from hallway noise.
I ate and had a drink at the bar one night. The drink was tasty and worth the money. The food was sad and definitely not worth the price. Go eat somewhere nearby.”
“Was very impressed with the lobby upon entering. I want to commend doorman Colin in particular. Was very gracious and helpful to me. I’ve not experienced the kind of pleasant service he provides in a long time.
Safety: Need your key to get in and out of parking and side exterior doors.”
“If you ever get the chance to be snowed in at Wrong Way, I would highly recommend it! The cabins are cute, full of natural light, and very clean and the staff is kind and responsive. The location can't be beat for access to West AVL and waking up to look out at the river is just so lovely”
