“If you ever get the chance to be snowed in at Wrong Way, I would highly recommend it! The cabins are cute, full of natural light, and very clean and the staff is kind and responsive. The location can't be beat for access to West AVL and waking up to look out at the river is just so lovely”

“Stayed here the night of Hurricane Helene's passage through Asheville. I really cannot overstate how thoughtful and kind all of the staff were to their guests as we all faced the storm together. We enjoyed a great breakfast by candlelight after the power went out early in the morning, and found some time to rest and relax in the beautiful common spaces on the first floor as we tried to figure out how to evacuate Asheville. Our room was spacious and well furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of wine purchased from the front desk on the night of our check-in, before we knew how bad the storm was going to be. Sending much love to the management, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew as they all recover from the storm. I hope to enjoy a future stay here!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the lovely Kimpton Hotel Arras in Asheville NC. Our room was beautiful and very quiet and the bed and pillows so comfortable. Best ever, I think. And then…The front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. In particular, Joseph, Angel, Nicole, Barry, Jamie, Matthew and Micael. They exuded “hospitality” from start to finish. We also enjoyed our daily breakfast (of our 5-day stay) in the hotel restaurant, Bargello. All of their breads and pastries are fresh made in-house and breakfast meals, all delicious, were perfectly cooked and presented. The wait staff at Bargello was beyond great. So friendly and attentive. I’m sure all of their wait staff are amazing but Erin and Keisha, who we interacted with, were especially wonderful! Highly recommend both The Hotel Arras and Bargello restaurant.”

“Will absolutely stay here again! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff was lovely, the inside was beautifully decorated, warm, comforting, super clean and overall the most perfect place! Great location as everything is right there. Can’t wait to come back!”

“We had an amazing experience at the Blind Tiger. It was so nicely appointed. Tristan welcomed us upon our arrival and made sure we were comfortable and acquainted with the property and the amenities. We will absolutely be returning to this gem of a property!!!
Oh….and the pastries at breakfast were AWESOME!!”

“Great location! Friendly staff. The beds were comfortable. As a heads up though for those traveling with others, the entire front wall of the bathroom is a sliding glass door. There is ZERO privacy of sound. In fact, it amplifies.”

“Best place to stay in downtown Asheville! Great location that is very walkable to nearby restaurants and activities. The staff was great and very accommodating during our stay. The breakfast basket every morning was such a great touch. And the coffee bar makes a great matcha latte!”

“If you’re looking for a truly stunning stay with next level hospitality, the Biltmore absolutely understood the assignment.

I just celebrated my 60th birthday on a girls’ trip my husband thoughtfully pulled together, flying in some of my favorite women from different states. He drove us to Asheville, stayed on property at the Village Hotel, and happily played personal butler all weekend so we girls could have our own space while still enjoying all the Biltmore amenities.

We were originally booked in a cottage, but when a storm rolled in we were moved to The Inn at Biltmore Estate, and honestly it was the best upgrade ever. The Inn was breathtaking and the service was exceptional. Mark at The Inn was a total standout, fun, attentive, and truly above and beyond, even surprising us with a Biltmore puzzle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch.

Our first night included a fire alarm evacuation and nothing was wrong, which somehow turned into laughs with the firefighters and a photo op. When the storm later required us to shelter in place, we leaned into it and showed up downstairs in our big white Biltmore robes and slippers. Instant slumber party energy, and the staff loved it just as much as we did.

Between the beauty of the estate, the incredible hospitality, and the people who genuinely care, this trip was pure magic. We happily purchased a season pass and can’t wait to return.?????”

“Excellent location from the highway and close to several restaurants within minutes. This hotel chain is a consistent favorite when traveling and eating in the room because of the suite kitchenette amenities. I have stayed at the TPS in a few different states now and they provide a comfortable space to count on.”

“The AC system in room needed a deep cleaning. It kept spewing big black pieces of dust/lint. The bathroom smelled moldy but it was spit spot clean so couldn't figure where the odor came from. The thermostat seemed finicky. Seemed you needed the fan running all the time for the entire room to remain at a consistent temp. All that to say I've been there before and if in area likely stay there again.”

“We stayed for the first time and it was delightful! I am not all that easy to please and from the moment of arrival with amazing valets, phenomenal front desk, everything spotless and welcoming, it was great! And what a location! We had a Mountain View room and we wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was perfect and the omelette top notch. Just phenomenal. We will be back!”

“There was a problem with booking.com who was giving me the run around. Bailey who works at the front desk was a superstar and helped me figure out the problem and resolve it. She went way out of her way to help. Amazing customer service!”

“I stayed here during a family members work trip, and considering how recent after the floods we stayed here and how places less than 100 yards were still closed or in disrepair, this hotel was amazing. The rooms, lobby, etc were all clean and well kept and staff was nice. You can tell they put in some hard work to get the hotel back and running.”

“We stayed here on a trip to take our son to see Josh Johnson for his birthday. I really just tried to find a decent hotel for the one night stay. My expectations were not high...I can just say that I was pleasantly surprised. As a true member if the OCD club, I don't even like like smell of hotel carpets. To my shock, there was no smell. The rooms looked and smelled clean and fresh. Of course, still gave it a once over with my travel products but my gosh, I could find no excess dirt as I usually do. Kudos to the cleaning staff.

We also went down to the breakfast this morning...more surprises awaited us. Cage free scrambled eggs, omelets, make it yourself waffles (translation, hot), really good coffee. My son, the carnivore, enjoyed the bacon, turkey bacon and sausages. They also had assorted breads, bagels and muffing; yogurts, juices, etc. A true spread.

I forgot my electric toothbrush and they provided me a free toothbrush along with toothpaste. Not to mention the staff was so pleasant throughout.

We will definitely be back since the area was so great with lovely restaurants. Wildwood Still was beautiful with amazing mountain views
views (review to follow).”

“We didn’t stay here but came up one evening to sit on the back terrace for drinks and the sunset! Pro-tip, sit on the right side of the terrace so you’re out of the soon quicker than the left side.”

“The hotel is clean and fresh and the sweets are modern and roomy with a great galley kitchen. I dig the location with a quick walk to some good barbecue or a short drive to the mall and local shopping. Super convenient for access to UNC Asheville, the breakfast is nice, the gym is sufficient, and the laundrys very helpful for multi-day stay. My only complaint is on the first floor the parking lot lights shine brightly into the room at night even with double blackout shades.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. Although old, it was very clean and well maintained. The owner was polite and professional. I stayed two and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean budget hotel.”

“This hotel is beautiful clean and close to the highway. All of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. We stopped on the first leg of our vacation and I accidentally left a prescription behind. They found it and offered to ship it or hold it for me until we came back through Asheville. The pool was refreshing. The a/c kept our room cool and comfortable. Thank you! I look forward to staying there again.”

“The staff was great but the experience overall was not good. We chose this location due to the proximity to an event venue and ability to get a room with a jacuzzi tub to celebrate our anniversary. From the time we got into the room we noticed most features were not working. Hair dryer mainly and no hot water in the jacuzzi tub which we were so excited for. We left for our event and figured we'd try the tub when we got back. Still no luck but it was late and figured we'd try again in the morning as we had paid extra for a late checkout. By the next morning the hot water still wasn't working so we let the front desk know and they sent maintenance. Maintenance said someone had turned off the hot water heater/boiler and he had turned it back on and to wait 10 minutes. We did and finally got some hot water! Tub was almost a third of the way filled when the hot water stopped again. At this point we were just extremely frustrated and disappointed and took a lukewarm bath essentially. The upgrade for the jacuzzi tub was an additional $40+ and the late checkout was $25. At that price we could've spent two nights in a different, just as nice room with amenities that actually function correctly.

UPDATE: I have changed my review to 5 stars to reflect the prompt, professional and kind response from the manager, Hazel. She not only refunded us the fee for the late checkout but was even kind enough to send us an Amazon gift card as an apology for the issues during our stay. What an absolute breath of fresh air dealing with someone who takes service and guest happiness seriously. We would absolutely give them another chance because of this. Best Western, you're very fortunate to have such a wonderful general manager who clearly takes pride in her job and training her staff to execute the same level customer service. ? Very impressed.”

“The location is just a short walk from lots of cute shops and fun restaurants.
The hotel appears to be newer construction and the lobby is clean and well maintained. All of the staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.

The rooms are modern, stylish, and very clean. My complaint is that it is very poorly insulated/soundproofed. There is no carpet in the rooms and the floors and surfaces are generally hard, and when the doors close they are very loud. This means that every time someone allowed their door to close naturally, it woke me up. If the door to the room next door closed, the adjoining wall literally vibrated. And then there were kids running up and down the hall at midnight. Unfortunately that's a parenting issue more than a hotel issue, but posting quiet hours might help? Regardless, in two nights, I don't think I slept more than 90 minutes without waking up from hallway noise.

I ate and had a drink at the bar one night. The drink was tasty and worth the money. The food was sad and definitely not worth the price. Go eat somewhere nearby.”

“I love it here! I'm so happy to be back and that they made it through the hurricane. My room is spacious enough for me, clean, and with plenty of light to make it bright. The location is wonderful- just a mile from downtown.”

“I've come to find out ,all of these places don't rent to anyone living within a 50 mile radius, so no locals. But this guy at this spot herd my story of me being unaware of this glitch, and rented me a room. Not like the clown at the quality inn up the street.”

“Was very impressed with the lobby upon entering. I want to commend doorman Colin in particular. Was very gracious and helpful to me. I’ve not experienced the kind of pleasant service he provides in a long time.

Safety: Need your key to get in and out of parking and side exterior doors.”
