“Retired in the area three years ago. We came from fresh water fishing too uncharted waters. We met Deb and Russ, and they changed everything! Set us up with rods,reels,and tackle. Landed my 1rst ever Old Drum with an Owen Lupton rig that is made in their store. 53 inch long fish and a FOREVER memory. Next was my 26-inch 6lb trout. Both fish brought me 2 Nc certifications. The fishing history and knowledge goes back to the generation with this family. The store has a lodge attached that puts you literally one block down from the Vandermer public boat launch, which is phenomenal!!! 2 launch bays,tons of parking,CLEAN AND SAFE. If you LOVE to fish, your first go-to should be Vandermer Nc and Squidders Bait and Tackle Oh, and when you stop in after an AMAZING day on the water!! You can enjoy your success with an ice cold soda or beer as they have an on premises license and sit at the community table and regale your wonderful adventures on the water. Best kept secret of the south?”

“Great service. Lots of items to choose from such as fountain drinks, bottled soda's, frozen icees, lemonades, tea, coffee, and water. Also sausage dogs, hot dogs and Krispy Kreme donuts.”
“Oriental Mini Mart is also know as Frank's. Locally owned and family run convenience store in Oriental, Sailing Capital of NC. There is a Grill but you have to be there early in the morning for the famous cheese biscuits and get extra napkins. Frank even has ethanol free gasoline for you boat.”
“Visited Monday 31st. Was told by female employee they did not have what I needed but something similar and she told me where to look. So I found the item and so glad I asked Jason the pharmist. He came from behind the counter instead of just pointing to where I needed to go and in fact they had exactly what I needed. He then took time to explain why the insurance company denied the prescription and how to use it best for the person. I must say probably the best service ever from a pharmist. He Rocks.”
