“Went for the holiday lights display, great night walking the grounds and enjoying the scenery. Despite all the cars in the parking lot, once inside the gardens, it was so spacious that you hardly noticed how busy it was. Looking forward to coming back!”

“I hosted my daughters bridal shower at Heirloom on 1/13/24. They did an amazing job from the start when I contacted David to start planning, to menu selection and all of the fine details. Chef Chris Davis did an outstanding job executing an upscale authentic Italian menu. The staff were terrific , on point and attentive. Everything was delicious and so well received by my guests, even the Italian New Yorkers approved! My entire experience was easy, seamless, fun and delicious. Thanks!”

“My son saw an ad on insta and begged to go. We booked the kangaroo experience. Super cool and not typical of animals you’d see at a zoo or farm. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared tons of stories about the animals and their behaviors.”

“It's always a challenge playing a course for the first time. Gaston Cc is an old school course - meaning traditional and well designed. It is well maintained with a professional courteous staff. I sincerely appreciate the communication I received in my visit to this "Private Club." However, I did not realize that I was paired with Royalty and the founders of the club until afterwards. Samantha, their membership director made me aware of my partner's status. When asking the line of a blind tee shot, Mr. Gray instructed me to (go ahead) and hit the shot. I replied, I can do that, and hit the shot on the perfect line. The Gray brothers (founders of Gaston Cc) are great putters. They had a fifty plus years advantage of experience on me...Lol. I had been putting on aerated slow greens in Roanoke, Va for two months, so it was different to say the least. The highlight was a hole in one on #11. I enjoyed his company talking about horses, his swing plan, wild hogs and the two beers he bought. Sorry, I can't recall his name at the moment. Highly recommend Gaston Cc! The practice area, dining area and atmosphere is great. I wish I could afford it. Don Portis”

“I’m posting this because I am livid by the treatment that I received recently at this hotel. I have had family & friends stay with this location based on me referring them here during past couple years. Going forward I will NOT suggest they stay at this location due to the unprofessional service that I had to deal with.I’m going inside to wait for someone where I stated that I would wait for them at. Long story short the guy working the front desk decided that he is gonna yell and stop me from waiting on someone because he can’t see me from the desk and then stated he would call the police if I didn’t want to leave because how they do not allow people to wait around which they have NO signs to indicate that upon entry the ONLY sign was about NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS.No other employees there have stopped me before. They are always very friendly and helpful. The guy working needs to be educated and trained properly on how not to be quick to judge people who enter the hotel. When I mentioned stereotyping me, and I feel disrespected by his approach He took it all to race stating he isn’t stereotyping me but clearly he did or else there would not have been any discussion to have at all. Please educate your employees that there are multiple types of stereotyping and not just by skin color.If you are the ONLY person working and concerned about people coming in and out You should stay out and approach them when they first walk in and kindly greet someone. You never know what a person is dealing with. I’m just doing my usual when I have guests in town and to be approached like this in front of other guests was quite a bad look for the company.”

“It’s definitely not a luxury hotel, but it was clean and functional. Close drive to downtown, Carowinds, and CLT. However, I was most impressed by the great service. The woman who checked us in on the night of the 15th was energetic and welcoming, and the man managing the breakfast the next morning was equally great- clearing plates quickly, chatting with guests, and making sure everyone’s needs were met. Unfortunately, parking is $11/night.Nearby activities: Carowinds”

“They have Dove body and bath products. It's clean. Restaurant on site. 100 percent would go back.Food & drinks: The restaurant had limited choices for vegetarians. The food was delivered by a robot.”

“The absolute worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Beds were worn out, pillows smelled like maple syrup, carpet plum nasty, moldy bathroom, lamps didn’t work, funky musky smell and then in the middle of the night when “trying” to sleep someone banged on our door and runs off laughing. Which caused me to get up and write this review immediately. I wish I had never stayed. Then walking to the car earlier, some man jumps out his car running towards me. I had to jump in my car, lock the doors and fly off! Never Ever Again!!!”
