“I frequent this location and the gentlemen taking care of the facility “Pops” is the sweetest man. He’s always working hard and will greet you nicely when approaching the store, and take your buggy if he sees you’re finished. I’ve seen him so many times over the last few weeks and everytime he has a smile and is genuinely so nice!
Thanks Pops!”
“If you like a spotlessly clean, bright place to shop for your groceries, go to Publix. If you like neat, highly organized shelves (think Patrick Bergin in "Sleeping with the Enemy"-level organized) where it is easy to find goods, go to Publix. If you like a polite, friendly, crisply dressed staff who stands ready to assist you in any of your shopping needs, go to Publix. If you like a grocery store that greets you with the scents and sense of cleanliness and freshly baked bread, go to Publix. If you like the best melons you have ever had, go to Publix. That last one may seem out of place, but it is true. Hear me out: let's talk melons. I am referring to the much-maligned cantaloupe and honeydew melons. Think about this: when you order a fruit cup at a restaurant, what fruits will you likely be served? Cantaloupes and honeydews top that list in my experience. Along with some red grapes. An occasional pineapple chunk, a strawberry, or a blueberry, perhaps, but honeydew and cantaloupe are always present. Why is this? It is because they are inexpensive, hold their shape, and do not liquefy like other fruits. But restaurants tend to order them underripe (to accentuate the firmness and shelf life), and the result is that they don't taste good. And people don't like them. This is unfortunate. And it can be fixed. I would like to invite you to try the cantaloupes and honeydew melons Publix carries. Specifically, and you must get the correct ones, Publix holds a contract with a fruit grower in California named King o' the West. They produce a green honeydew melon and an orange honeydew melon (orange dew) that will likely redefine your feelings on these fruits. They are the best melons I've ever tasted. Publix also carries a fantastic cantaloupe called Sugar Kiss. I would suggest trying that one as well. In addition to these melons, Publix also stocks some brands of items you won't find at grocers whose headquarters are more local. In addition, they are also known for their outstanding sub sandwiches. Publix's motto is "Where shopping is a pleasure". Go see for yourself.”
“There's groceries store for days no matter where you go but I haven't ever gone to a Harris Teeter that I really had a complaint with. There's usually plenty in stock ( meat dept in the weekend sometimes get slim but you know cookouts etc) there's still something there usually to work with and pricing now far surpasses most all grocery stores in value”

“I love this little Walmart. I'm from Lowgap (close to Mt Airy) Every time I go to Winston I stop there. The employees are always nice and helpful. I enjoy my shopping experience. And I find some good deals too”
“Love this place, we always have a great shopping experience here, especially after they renovated it. Rearranging the shelves was a great idea. Bright and very pleasing to the eye.”
