We chose to board our 8 year old Australian Shepard, Sydney, for the first time ever with Bed & Biscuit Pet Spa for 4 nights. While we were hesitant at first, she was well taken care of!Pros:- Sydney was well taken care of!- Reasonable pricing- Options to add nature walks, group play, etc.- Boarding room options- Very easy and quick drop off and pick up- Located outside of the city in a mountainous, quieter area- Caring staff- Overall facilities seemed clean, from what we could seeCons:- At times, difficult to get someone to answer the phone- No cameras/video feeds- Did not see the boarding room at all and limited pictures online

I never write a bad review, however, I feel the need to try to protect others who want to know the truth about Bed and Biscuit. I do think the girls who come to get your pet, are very loving and try to do the best they can and I am not sure what the inside workings of the place are but it is not very sanitary as far as I can see and that isn't much since you are not allowed to go inside. My dog's first groom was acceptable but each time I picked her up, there was just a sense that something wasn't right. The last time I picked her up, I couldn't even tell she had been groomed or bathed and called and asked and they said yes (I knew that wasn't true) but even more troubling, she has been sick ever since and I had to take her to the doctor who had to put her on medicine for her swollen throat and congestion as she had probably caught something at the groomer. I took her to another groomer about a week later (after being on meds) and the groomer couldn't believe she had just been groomed a week before as her paw pads weren't done, nor her sanitary area or around her face, etc. I am sad to write this review, but there is something going on there that isn't okay and I am not sure what it is but would advise people to be aware of your feelings. I wish the girls that work there well!

Very caring staff and do a great job grooming. My dog used to be afraid to get groomed, now he can't wait to get out of the car at Bed and Biscuit!

Visited for a tour, nice grounds and location but the dogs were kept in small old shed-like facility of kennels with various configuration of runs. We were barely shown around as to not 'excite and disturb the dogs' in their kennels but what I saw very briefly was like a dark old cement prison for dogs! Overpriced abd misleading marketing model with daily activity add-ons for longer boarding stays.

Scheduled a grooming and nail trim appointment for my 20 lb dog. Dropped off outside, they won't let you in and when I picked her up, they come out to get payment...65.00. Go back in to bring her out and she stated that they couldn't cut her hair on her head because she was stressed I then asked about her nails and they stated that they couldn't do those either. I stated then why would I pay full price for a bath (without a blow dry) still wet smelling, hair on head not cut and nails not done. Stated that was the price. They were rude and they definitely didn't care. Would not recommend this place. My dogs have been to many groomers over the years with us moving because of jobs and have never had issues with "stress". If I could give a "no star" I would have.

The staff at Bed and Biscuit is amazing! They love my crazy dog, and are so diligent about trying to match her with dogs she tolerates, as she is reactive. They are just so great with her!

After driving nearly 6 hours to pick up our doggy. We discovered they are closed 2 hours during the day from 12-2. Friendly reminder... $195 dollars from Saturday morning till Wednesday is a little steep in my opinion we won't be back.

Bed and Biscuit Pet Spa in Black Mountain is simply Amazing whether it is for day care, grooming or boarding, it is the Best. Our young terrier/terror, Eddie starts squealing as we turn in the drive, and can’t wait to see Ellen the owner or Sara, senior staff. He loves playing in the paddock with his friends he has made there, and it is a big part of his life. Our older guy Gus, loves his walks along the river. What has impressed us most, is that it obvious the owner and every person on staff are not just there for a job, but are there because they have a passion for animals and for what they are doing. They do it with purpose, honor and integrity, and do it well. We are fortunate to have this wonderful place! Bill and Roi McGuire, Black Mountain.

We have been taking our Australian Shepherd mix to Bed and Biscuit for three years! Couldn’t ask for more caring individuals that take care of our sweet girl!! I am thrilled to have found a place that creates such a caring and SAFE environment. I recommend highly!

My dog has been going here for daycare and boarding for 9 years. She loves this place and I have never had any type of problem. The employees truly care about the animals. Indeed, it has become a second home to my dog.

We reserved a week for our dog to stay during thanksgiving of this year. The girl took our information said we were so lucky to have booked in advance because holidays fill up fast. Today we called to try and book a week in September and they told us they cannot accommodate us in September. They also said we are not booked Im for November either. I knew this was a mistake. So I asked how do you hook ahead of time and the employee Sarah stated “just verbal over the phone and we take payment when your drop your pet off”. This is how we have paid and booked in the past with them. We are now scrambling trying to find another place for when we leave the country. Bed and biscuits doesn’t care at all. I called back and spoke to Ellen who contradicted her co worker and cut me off stating “ I should be embarrassed for thinking they take reservations without payment”. I am appalled that she feels this comfortable speaking down to customers. Called a few other boarders who said that a lot of bed and biscuit customers have been calling with the same story:•mysterious cancelations•lies and contradictions when trying to get to the bottom of it•all the breeds cancelled were sheapards and bull breedsI will never use this place again. If they don’t feel safe taking shepards and bully breeds, that’s ok. Lying to customers and messing up family vacations is not okay. I hope we can find an honest boarder in time to be able to travel for thanksgiving. THIS IS WRONG AND I WILL MAKE SURE OUT VET STOPS REFERRING TO YOU

Have used them a couple of times over the years. They are organized, fairly priced, conveniently located, friendly and caring. Always greeting you and your pet with a smile. I feel safe leaving my dog with them and will use them again. They do tend to book to capacity a lot which tells me they're popular and providing a great service.

Very, very noisy. Scared my dog before her grooming. My dog barely looked like the groomer did it anything, especially her face, which I specifically asked to have done. Will not go back.

Boarding was ok. We asked to have dog groomed and washed with a significant nail trim but when I picked him up 5 days later they said they couldn't do his nails but did not offer to reduce the grooming charge. So now I get to take him to the vet and pay more to have what I expected from Bed and Biscuit done elsewhere. And of course I had to wear a flipping face covering

I am new to the area and just started bringing my 2 dogs to the Bed & Biscuit Doggy daycare. I love how they do small group play and take my dogs on trail walks. I have a much happier dog and calmer more behaved ones at home! They also do a great job grooming and keep them looking handsome!
