J & M Produce is a destination worth a trip to Blowing Rock. It offers the freshest local fruits and vegetables, with an amazing selection of seasonal produce like berries, peaches, corn, and hard squash. The quality of produce and packaged items is universally high. It is the only place within a hundred miles to find special items like mulling spice and cider, alongside lots of pumpkins, gourds, and homemade goods. Prices are a bit steeper than a supermarket but also very reasonable compared to local shops. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Visitors can also walk the grounds to see furniture from Amish country.
