Boone Mall is a large, dated mall that serves its purpose as the main mall in the area. The place is clean with friendly people and a no-nonsense name. It has good stores, including a wonderful TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Belk, Shoe Dept Encore, and Hobby Lobby, which are carrying the mall. However, it is struggling with many vacancies and mostly shut down storefronts, lacking larger tenants. The signage off the road could be better. While it is worth visiting and a pleasant sight as the only one around, some wish it could become a destination again, suggesting that letting local businesses take over could be smart. Overall, it is not bad.
