“I had noticed a while back that the store was undergoing some renovations and happened to notice some nice Nike polos in the window the other day. I decided to stop in, having visited the old Mountaineer Mania several times previously, and was shocked to find an entirely new store inside.
The premise of the store is the same, a wide selection of AppState apparel and gifts. But I was impressed to see really nice selections of Nike and Columbia branded apparel at very reasonable prices. I had only planned to purchase a polo but ended up walking out with some other things as well.
The sales associate working that day was friendly App student who was able to quickly answer my questions. Overall, a great update to a King St. staple!”

“The folks at Waypoint are fantastic. They’re never pushy/salesy and are incredibly knowledgeable. I also love that they carry the highest quality gear (not just generic “brand name” merch - but the good stuff from those makers). On top of that, they support and carry several cottage industry brands.
So yeah, if you’re looking for an outfitter for everything from fly fishing, climbing, to backpacking/camping, and kayaking - you should absolutely stop in.”
