Firefly Carrboro is a bead and jewelry making shop located near Raleigh and Durham, in the same mall as Mulberry Silks. It is a great place for avid jewelry makers to shop for a beautiful selection of products, including gemstone strands, focal beads, stone beads, accessories, closures, jewelry parts, and tools like a ring mandrel. The shop offers both 18 KT plated gold and gold filled items. There is a small workspace inside where customers can make jewelry, and the staff may help design custom pieces or hold workshops. The management and workers are consistently described as super nice, friendly, super helpful, kind, and patient. They provide amazing customer service, offering recommendations and graciously helping customers with projects, from fixing mistakes to assisting with hardware selection and allowing the use of tools on-site. While some note the beads can be a bit pricey, the hardware prices are reasonable. Customers appreciate the super fast shipping and find the shop to be a must-visit, with the only common challenge being that parking in the shared lots can be a toss up and get full.
This is a great place to shop for beads and accessories. Nice products, super nice helpful management. I'm visiting the area and can't be a regular customer, but if I was a local, this would be my bead store!
