The Carrboro office is nothing more than a rural branch, meaning that anything outside of withdrawing or depositing money is completely out of their abilities. Besides, they never pick up the phone and you are forced to go in person to ask any question.

You call they offices number and they never answer I mean never answer, I had spend more then an hour trying to get them in the phone an nothing.They put a hold on a small check for a week and don’t even tell you about it .Open an account with then and I’m already thinking about closing it , really disappointing

We just opened a new LLC and new account with Truist. Our 1st check was put on a week hold, no problem, new account. The next two small deposits, no issue. Next deposit, under $10,000, another week hold to verify funds. I get notice in mail stating funds available the 19th. 19th comes, nope, new hold on the entire account for possible fraud? What fraud I ask, they said the check was questionable. The one you just verified? Umm, yes. Wait, what? Yessir, it will be Monday AT THE LATEST. End of business time today, Friday, still locked out. The issuer of said check is a actual bank that I've done business with for 10 years. No fraud, no red flag. They're just borrowing my money interest free for two weeks with no explanation nor apology. That was my last deposit with Truist. Something very wrong is happening with them. I STRONGLY suggest you put your money elsewhere in an actually SAFE place. Will be opening a new account with my local credit union with a 5 star reputation. I'd leave zero stars if that was an option.

Sun trust called my equity line during the last recession and requested full payoff of 20k at once (not a payment plan) even though I had never been late once. They are not to be trusted and I am sorry that BBT has tarnished their name by combining with them.

Slowest bank tellers ever. Sat in 90 degree weather for 15min waiting on teller to cash a single check! Ridiculous! I do not recommend.

Every time I go here it is a terrible experience. The place is totally empty there are two notaries in the building but one was on the phone and the other was too busy to help me. Utterly ridiculous.

Service is terrible, always 1 teller regardless of how long the line is, those in the offices to the right pretend to appear busy, jus close this location already and everyone go to the University mall location service there is 100% better

Convenient location and friendly/helpful staff. They have a Spanish-speaking Personal Banker, which is tough to find. In Carrboro Plaza across from Food Lion.

The slowest bank. Always "short staffed" and I've needed the bank manager twice and he refuses to leave his office or step up and help when his staff could clearly use some extra help.
