Love the Cary store but the employees are another story. There is one black gentleman who is extremely helpful but the others act like they do not want to be there. They don't welcome you when you enter the store or ask if you need help. They just seem very sour. Again, I love the store due to the great selection but the employees may need more training on customer service. Either that or find employment elsewhere, somewhere that they don't have to deal with people.

It’s a nice little place with friendly employees and a wide selection. However I have noticed that since getting bought by Feeders, they no longer have a lot of the smaller business collar and leash brands that they used to carry when they were Phydeaux. A little disappointing since they were the only physical store in the area that carried those brands, and was the main reason I would go out there. Either way the store is still clean and organized and the people there are friendly, but I do miss Phydeaux.

Used to love Phydeaux, but it is no longer in business. it is now “Feeders Pet Supply.” Super upset that they closed and I was not aware. Their hours also are not open until 9 like it says on the website. Super disappointed they’re closed.

This store is fabulous! They carry loads of high quality pet food varieties that you won't find in other big box stores. The employees are always ready and willing to assist.

A breath of fresh air after coming from petco. You get the sense they genuinely care about animals well being. All products are priced fairly and they have a wide array of items that you can’t find in store. The employee who helped us was so excited to learn we had just adopted 2 rambunctious Cats that day and was ecstatic to keep us informed and well stocked. We purchased two carriers that our cats feel more safe in than the rest of our apartment. Would recommend.

Store has a wide selection of high end food, toys, beds, and more for dogs and cats. Staff is always very helpful.

Never greets my pups or says Hi, they don't really communicate well, now I switched to Hollywood feed and Unleashed, both these stores actually know my dog by name and gives her a treat every time

Im really sad to do this, but I feel I must. This store underwent a change recently. They are now called “Feeders”. And since the chance, I’ve felt a shift in quality of employees. The last three times I’ve been in the store, it felt cold. No one greeted us, no interaction. No one asked if we needed help, if we were looking for something. They didn’t even greet the pup we had with us until we handed our card over for payment for what we were purchasing. I used to come to this store because of the welcoming environment it had. I’ve brought almost every foster pup I’ve had there, and purchased their food there. We were always treated very well until the change of hands. Sad to say, they are also phasing out our favorite brand of food and couldn’t give me an answer over the phone if they could special order it. If the in-store manager can’t figure out if something is available, that’s a problem. Oliver’s Collar had the answer for me within minutes. It’s sad to see a wonderful company go down so fast. I hope the new management can nip this in the bud quickly so they don’t get a bad reputation. Because we won’t be back.

Love the toys, love the selection of leashes, BUT, there are 2 employees who are very very unprofessional and rude. There is a young man there who is wonderful! When I see him, I know I will be valued. There is a young girl who I will walk out if I see she is the only one there. A few weeks ago I was there with my lab who is just over a year. For a lab, he’s pretty well behaved but he still needs to be told to sit when we are checking out. And this particular day, I was checking out with another young lady who is very friendly, and I said “Mylo sit”. I did have to repeat it one time because he was too busy looking at some thing, and I heard her in the aisle right by the register in a very condescending, snooty voice, saying.”Mylo sit, Mylo sit, Mylo sit”. Seriously?!?!? I have been going there for over a year. Not once has she been friendly. Horrible, horrible service.

I visited this Phydeaux location after a very unappealing experience at the Raleigh location. At the Raleigh location, I felt the staff was very cold, had no interest in saying a word to me as a customer, and were too busy talking to one another to notice I was even in the store. I went to the Cary location, figuring that one bad store can't make an entire company. Unfortunately, this one was just as bad, if not worse. The store is nearly silent, the employees could not even take a moment to ask if I needed anything or even say hello. After browsing the store (very awkwardly, given the silence in the middle of the day), my dog and I left and we went to Unleashed a couple miles up the road, where I had spectacular customer service. We purchased an identical product as I would have purchased at Phydeaux, but I could not bring myself to give this company a sale after the terrible customer service I have received at now two locations. Your employees clearly have no interest in making sales, no interest in talking with pet owners, and no interest in even talking to a dog (hey, maybe people aren't their thing?) I would say this company needs a serious customer service fix, but now it's been sold off to go corporate. It's truly a shame because the store is nice, but these employees need to hit the road and find a new day job.

Phydeaux has been bought by Feeders. I have visited twice since the switch. They've lost my business due to extremely unpleasant staff. I doubt they stay open. I will be looking for somewhere else to spend my money.

I’ve loved Phydeaux for years, started going to the chapel hill one and continued going to the other locations when I moved to Raleigh. Just went in today and was very disappointed to find out they sold to a chain. There were already lots of products missing from the shelves and there were signs up making it seem like just a store name change, and the cashier was very rude when I asked about the change. She made it seem like it’s always been Feeders when I didnt know what rewards program she was asking about, and acted like I was d*** to not know the store had changed. Based off what feeders pet supply stocks on their website this place is just going to be another petco. It sucks losing a local shop that only carried high quality pet products.

They got bought out by a company called feeders. Another fine place going corporate! And they're not even to keep the name or anything. They're going to totally change it to a different pet store.Been going there for 10 years. This will be the last time. I hear unleashed is locally owned?

Good selection of food and treats especially for dogs with allergies. The variety of toys and other supplies are good as well. The low rating is strictly because of their staff.Staff used to be friendly and helpful but now every time I seem to come to the store there is just one woman working and she makes the whole experience awful. She is always rude, cold and unfriendly. She seems annoyed that someone is in the store and annoyed if you bring your pet. It genuinely seems like she doesn’t like dogs. Her attitude and vibe makes you feel rushed and like you want to get in and out of the store as soon as possible. I’ve come here less and purchased less product because of this woman’s bad attitude and the way she makes you feel when you’re in the store. She shouldn’t work in the retail industry or in a pet store since both things seem to make her miserable.
