“This past year we held our company Christmas party with Blue Hill Event Center and we could not have been happier with our experience. Eric was a pleasure to work with and always answered any of our questions in a timely fashion. The night of our event everything ran smoothly, the caterers had plenty of space for set up and the space was set up beautifully by their talented staff. We look forward to hosting other events with them in the future.”

“Last evening, the League of Women Voters of Orange Durham and Chatham Counties held its first in-person Annual Meeting since 2019, and could not have found a better venue for the occasion. Manager Brandon was a pleasure to work with in every step of the process. Executive Director Lisa Kaylie also deserves a big thank you for helping us close up the beautiful space. Both are great advocates for their mission of creating a safe and fulfilling workplace for people of neurodiverse abilities. We fully support them and look forward to coming back.”

“Wonderful worship service! Amazing Baptism Service. I witnessed Pastor Tate speak into each one of their lives and it was like 25-30 souls. But he knew each one personally. This is a wonderful church. Great team of servers, ushers and workers all while smiling. We had CHURCH! So glad my niece is under his leadership. Pastor Tate and Lady Tee working their part of the Vineyard, Nice worship experience!”

“I've attended three different events here so far: the best classical music concert I've ever heard, a practical course on gaining more efficient movement in your body, and an elegant fundraiser dinner. Driving into the facility, you get a regal feeling. There are nice trees and plenty of space. The building itself is beautiful - new and clean with nice design and modern decor with a hint of military ambiance. It's a first class venue with a ballroom and bar area that would be perfect for weddings, corporate gatherings, or major parties. I highly recommend it!”

“I’ve been going here for about 2 years. Now that it’s hours, services are back to normal, it’s been great.

I have a kid and I take advantage of free child care, especially Saturdays. It’s not all the hours I’d like, but I’ll take it. They offer 4 days of child care at different hours. You get up to 2 hours free. And the staff are great with my energetic kid. They also have family swim times as well.

They’ve recently updated both weight and cardio machines. A wider selection and mix.

The place is/has always been really clean thanks to amazing and attentive staff.

I always feel welcomed when I check in.

Can it get crowded? sure. This isn’t a Planet Fitness. Let me repeat that. This isn’t a commercial fitness center. YMCAs serve their communities, so if you don’t like to be around kids going to summer camp, preschoolers taking swimming lessons, older folks doing water aerobics, GenX doing Zumba, or respectful teenagers lifting weights, it’s not for you.

But if you like to be in a space where people of all shapes and sizes are welcome, please check it out. You can also hang out and chat with a friend over coffee. They have coffee, too.

I’ve also found that if something’s missing, I tell them and they look into it. Like child care during an evening Zumba class. But this not a make or break issue.

Parking can be a bit difficult during the weekend and afternoons, but I’ve always found a space. They have parking in the back. And I also remeber to just get there 15 mins earlier next time.

I haven’t taken many classes but they are usually full, so these instructors are doing something right. You can use the app to reserve spaces.

I have a personal trainer I meet with for 30 minutes 1-2x month. She’s professional, knowledgeable and hard working. And a UNC undergrad! Highly recommend for kickstarting your routine. I’ve been working with her for over a year.”
