“We have worked with Blue Hill Event Center for the past couple of years for our annual Practice Trick or Treat event. Our families love having an enclosed grassy area for the kids to play in, and the ground-level bathrooms are great for indoor and outdoor access. Their spaces are flexible and their table rentals have been so helpful! As a small business, we value supporting other local businesses, especially one that aligns with our core mission. “My husband and I participated in the candle making workshop with lavender lunch that I won from a raffle. I didn't realize what a great prize that was until arriving. The venue is beautifully and thoughtfully crafted repurposing a beautiful barn structure from Ohio and Karen made everyone feel welcome. I have food restrictions so was unable to partake in the delicious looking lunch but my husband enjoyed everything and was able to even get seconds. Having won the event as a raffle I did not expect any accommodation for my allergies, but Karen offered a credit for me to enjoy something from her boutique. The space was impeccably cared for and serene, I could've spent all afternoon there. It made me want to get married again to have my own event there!”

“We got married a couple of weeks ago and my husband and I (along with all of our friends and family!) CANNOT stop talking about how great of a weekend we had at The Barn at Valhalla! We hired Marguerite, who is also the owner, as our day of coordinator and she and her staff made sure everything went so smoothly for our whole weekend and helped us with so many things! The property itself is absolutely stunning and it was so fun having so many of our friends and family be able to stay for the whole weekend. We wish we could relive it all over again! Highly recommend as a wedding venue!”

Very wide varieties of plants and flowers native to NC and the south from different environments. Very well presented and maintained. You should give a nice donation if you visit to keep places like this available to everyone.”

“My brother was getting married in Chapel Hill and we were looking for a space to host a welcome party the night before the wedding. There are not many event spaces that can hold 175 people in Chapel Hill and after an exhaustive time calling different restaurants, we found The Pitch (we didn’t want to host the event in a hotel). Laura and her team were great. They worked with us every step of the way preparing for the evening. It was a huge success. We recommend The Pitch to anyone looking to host an event in Chapel Hill!”

“One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed in thousands. Exceptionally clean, albeit small rooms. Super unique and charming. The bed is comfortable and has 3 separate sheets and a comforter. The location is amazing and the exterior is like something out of a movie. I’d choose this hotel 10/10 times here. Yes the AC Hotel is newer and has bigger rooms. But this hotel has way more charm and is exceptionally clean which I find to be the highest mark of any hotel.”

“Highly convenient location near food and UNC campus. Ultra modern, minimalist, sufficient accommodations with the best hospitality staff I have ever encountered. Very nice beds. My only problem was that the ♿ shower cannot accommodate a wheelchair. We stay here because of the pet friendly policy, but Springhill Suites not far from here has much better fully accessible showers. The road is LOUD but just turn the A/C fan to ON or play white noise on your phone. No free breakfast, just pack your granola/protein bars. Complimentary coffee in the morning. Happy trails!”
