“I love this spot!! Never dissapoint. Since I was in the neighborhood I stopped in. Grabbed a few shirts. I already had the bottoms. Real nice selection for a reasonable price. They don't have bags so bring your own. You do have the option to purchase a reusable one.”
“Such a variety of clothes and jewelry and a decent amount of bags/purses that i always find myself there when i want to update my wardrobe for either my comfort days (days off work) or for my hostess uniform(s)! Friendly staff and they're really kind and fun to start a small conversation with!”
“Great place to find hidden gems. The shop itself is clean, beautifully arranged, and the staff is helpful. Have scored some amazing pieces from Talbots, J.Crew, and some older vintage garments for fantastic prices. Parking though is annoying, it's right on a pretty busy road so backing out of your spot once you're done isn't the worst but it's not a cake walk. They do have parking in the back (which I recommend using instead of the front spaces) but pulling out onto West Cornwallis is a little scary because the big bushes on the corner partially block you from seeing oncoming traffic. All in all, a great shop with slightly annoying parking (it's worth it though!)”
“Mommy and Me Resales is always very clean and organized . Staff are very knowledgeable about items in the store, as well as friendly and attentive. They are kid friendly which is a plus, have great prices and overall a wonderful shopping experience !”
“A good source for a variety of scraps and reclaimed craft supplies for upcycled creative projects. I look through all the fabric to find the deals on nice things. Most of the staff is friendly.”
“Doesn't have a lot of glassware, mainly clothing and media. But the books and DVDs are so well organized it's worth it if you're trying to find some new reads!”
“The staff is so helpful and friendly. I took my niece there that was visiting from Florida and she had a ball as well as spending quite a bit. Hats off to all the staff and management.”
“Amazing store! You can find all sorts of treasures, raw materials, and really high quality antique and vintage costumes and clothing! If you are a fiber or mixed media artist, cosplayer, crafter, costume designer, or just someone who likes finding cool and unique things, this place is a must go!!! I found a really high quality linen robe for only five dollars!! I am definitely gonna go back during Halloween season”

“My wife and I are way into antiques. We have been looking for a new spot in the area, and I stumbled across Oddities and Such from Google. We stopped in today, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have found this spot. This is such a cool place, filled to the brim with carefully curated treasures and we felt honored to look around. But, if I’m being honest, our time with Big Red really made our day. Richard is a wonderful guy who cheerfully greeted us at the door. We struck up a conversation and ended up finding he likes orange soda. We had to run to the ATM to get cash (this place is cash only) and we picked him up an ice cold orange soda as a little surprise. In our conversation, I found out that our birthdays are one day apart. He started calling me Little Red (because of my red hair) and shared stories with us about his childhood and his past adventures. All in all, today we left this shop feeling excited for the wonderful things we found and fulfilled from the time we got to spend with our new friend, Big Red. Seriously, I’ll be back like once a week now, not only to check out the new finds but to check in on one of the coolest guys I have ever met.”
“Great place for finding the very thing you didn't know you could not live without. Go there before you go to other Thrift stores, because their prices are really good.”
“Great selection for the size of the store. Daily displays outside. Like this Ping Pong table!! I hope it found a good home. Great condition. Thanks Team at Communityworx!! A fun store, reasonable pricing. It truly adds character and growth in the Carrboro area. Peace!!”
“I went to the Durham Rescue Mission Thrift Store on Chapel Hill Blvd this past Saturday and I want to share my experience. I have never been treated so nicely and appreciated as I was in that store!! It was very uplifting!!!”

“Best goodwill near me found so many nice Jackets, T-shirts, etc... no complaints on selection of clothing as I just go to the full bin of clothes. I was there once and the workers were working very had restocking the racks, bins, and shoes every so often and I was there for about 30 mins. This goodwill is so much better than the one in chapel hill, as they barley restock anything and when they do they bring a moveable cart of 12 items, which is all women's clothing.”
“On Monday morning June 24 I visited this very well organized store which I stated to a very pleasant lady at the register it is a boutique with many brand name clothing at very reasonable prices all the ladies were so very helpful and smiling thanking me for coming in to shop I had purchased quite a bit with brands from Nike,J Crew,Vera Wang Thank you so much for all of my GREAT TREASURES I
will be definitely be back again to see you all”
