“We just had our wedding at the Barn at Valhalla. It was perfect. The venue is so aesthetic. It is the perfect balance of comfort and class with natural beauty of the outdoors. It sits on a shimmering lake with wooden pathways, giant windows, and views of nature in every direction. The tree coverage creates a beautiful canopy of leaves and light above every space. Not only is the location beautiful, spacious, perfectly prepared for weddings, but the owner is extremely experienced and a pleasure to work with. Marguerite Waugh is wonderful. She is so sweet and hardworking. She constantly goes above and beyond. She is funny, nice, and calming all at once. She turned our unorganized rehearsal into a spectacular ceremony that ran perfectly. Her staff onsite are so warm and welcoming. They offered to help as soon as I arrived. My parents actually asked if she rented the barn for family gatherings because they also fell in love with the venue. Plus, the venue offers onsite rooms for the bride and groom, family, and friends/the bridal party. You won’t go wrong selecting this venue. My guests are still talking about it!”

“Mark your calendars for future plant sales - incredible variety of native plants for all kinds of looks and needs. Plan on showing up early, and the Univ of NC Botanical Garden Plant Sales brings a lot of folks in they even need to have parking attendedants. Enjoy the Botanical Gardens after shopping to see what your future purchase will look like once matured.”

There are not many event spaces that can hold 175 people in Chapel Hill and after an exhaustive time calling different restaurants, we found The Pitch (we didn’t want to host the event in a hotel). Laura and her team were great. They worked with us every step of the way preparing for the evening. It was a huge success. We recommend The Pitch to anyone looking to host an event in Chapel Hill!”

“We were part of a family wedding here and the venue is awesome. The house is Country style and done up very quaint and country.The tent for the Ceremony was done up beautifully and the Reception tent is exquisite.I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.”

“We love the Carolina Club!!! On campus, great food and fellowship, tailgating, pregame and special events, etc!! Membership price is really low but high value for what you get. Check them out, especially if you have a student at UNC, or just love to dine in Chapel Hill and/or visit the area / school. Ask for Kevin, the membership coordinator. You'll thank me later.”

“Fantastic stay here recently. The only weird thing is that their restaurant doesn’t serve biscuits for breakfast. At a quintessential Southern hotel? Really?

Walkability: Some entrances are accessible but beware that some sidewalks around the property are blocked by tree roots. It may take a bit longer to get around.”

“Comfortable room with king size bed. Easy checkin and checkout. Great location for getting to UNC Medical Center. Grocery stores and restaurants in close proximity.”

“One of my friends had their grad party here and it was a great time. Top notch venue with great music. Staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend checking this place out!”

“Expensive, but really nice rooms. No free breakfast and not a great parking situation. Nothing is really walking distance. It’s not too far from Chapel Hill, but it’s just a bit of an awkward distance away. The main lobby etc is quite nice.

It’s more of a 4.5stars hotel, but giving it 5 to boost average up from 4.1.

Reception staff were nice and gave us a wine opener too.

Rooms: Very clean and comfortable
