My son whom is also a member of triple a called Saturday to get a tire change. My son is a disabled veteran who has cancer. The reason for the membership was for his and my peace of mind. It is Sunday night and still no one is available. This is his transportation to the VA and everything else. What is wrong with this company. They used to be great.

Absolutely HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE...WORTHLESS service 1/13/24 called for roadside assistance. DID NOT RESPOND. Was abandon on the side of the road. My wife has been a member since 1976. Called multiple times were told "WE NEVER MADE IT IN THE Q". Could not give a timeframe AAA STINKS In the CAROLINAS. We had to call a tow 80 miles away where we live and pay out of pocket to get help. BEYOND BAD SERVICE.

Worst company to have insurance with!!!! My policy increased dramatically because of a non-fault acciden! When I called to talk to someone about it on a Tuesday Mr. Tidwell did not call me back with Thursday. When he called back he didn't even try to work with me to decrease the high payment premiu. He told me to shop around to other companies for insurance!!!! I never experienced anything like this before!!!! He was very unprofessional and didn't care about losing my business!!!

I was a AAA customer member for 45 years. I moved from California to NC in 2022 and my multiple failed attempts to move my membership to AAA Carolinas was ridiculous.TECHNOLOGY ISSUES:As a leader working in technology, the fact that the AAA systems can't "handle" a renewal from another state into AAA Carolinas for 18 months, is not acceptable. A lot of my valuable time was wasted attempting to contact a Supervisor to resolve this issue.CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES:1) I introduced myself during a call as "a member for 45 years", then I paused for several seconds... SILENCE!How hard is it to train someone to fake that they care by acknowledging a loyal customer?2) When I canceled this membership I still received monthly bills for the past 5 months. At 7:50 am, I phoned the number on the bill that listed that the office was open from 6 am - Midnight EST.The recording said the office did not open until 8 am.3) When I called again at 8:10 am, I listened to a pre-hold recording about wait times being "beyond their control" (STAFFING ISSUES). I finally reached a Customer Service Rep (CSR) and asked her to please stop sending me bills as I was no longer interested in renewing my membership.I proceeded to tell her that I was a 45 year AAA member and that I would be willing to have a discussion with a Supervisor about the reasons why I left AAA. I was asked twice by the CSR if "this was because of an issue with "Roadside Assistance?". I said "No, it was because of the very poor Customer Service." (I made sure she understood that it was her department, not HER personally, that caused me to end my membership.)Again, I reiterated that I am still willing to have a discussion with a member of her Management Team. She replied: "I need details to put in your file". When I repeated that I would explain everything in details to management she replied "Have a good day, Sir."I surmise that it was a fitting ending to our 45 year relationship.

Not worth the it. They will do their best to get out of providing you a tow even though you follow all of their rules.

Ive been a member for years, and always had outstanding service, until recently. I called on January 4, 2023, because I needed a new battery. First, the customer ********************** rep told me that I had no service calls remaining, and would be charged $100. (Not trueI had all four service calls available). After having the service rep read back my cell phone number, I waited, and received no texts or phone calls.I called *** back at around 4:00, to find out why I hadnt heard back from anyone, and was told that the texts were being sent to my landline, and anyway, *** did not deliver/install car batteries in my area. (Also not true, maybe the customer ********************** reps should read the *** website). Then I was told a mechanic was on the way, and would replace the battery, however, when the mechanic called, he said he didnt have a battery, and was told to just come jump start the car. I told him not to bother, because the car would just be dead in a few hours. Then I spoke to a manager, who told me that another mechanic was on the way, to install a new battery. When the mechanic called, I asked if he had a battery, and was told, he didnt know, but thought he MIGHT have one in the back of his truck. I told him to check, and not to bother coming if he didnt have one.He came anyway, and, in fact, did not have a battery, but insisted on checking my battery to make sure that was the problem. It was (I already knew that!). Fortunately, he was able to contact the shop he worked at, and a guy showed up, and installed a battery.I called *** today, because I wanted to make sure that I wasnt charged with 4 service calls, due to their own incompetence, but the person I spoke with couldnt tell me that, then transferred (disconnected) **** could not find any email to submit an inquiry (or a complaint), which is why Im posting it here.

Worst company! I had a nightmare experience with them yesterday. They have gone downhill! AAA used to be a wonderful and reliable company. Not anymore! I will not be renewing with them again!

Don't bother getting AAA. They will do their best to get out of providing a tow. They'll make up excuses even when you followed by their own rules. Get roadside through your insurance.

My car battery died and they came within 30 minutes and installed a new battery. I will definitely renew my plan. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

1ST CALL 5:28 am ! I went out to my car to find it would not start, My son had left the door open and the battery was KAPUT ! I went online and purchased a membership for basic, since the FAQ's for the website said that there was NO WAITING PERIOD from time of purchase. I attempted to schedule the service call online & was prompted to call an 800#. Once on the phone with the rep, I was told that I would incur an additional charge $60-the site made NO MENTION of this. So I pay the money (I'm at $120 for a basic membership now) and tell the lady I need a jump...LONG STORY SHORT- THE DRIVER DIDN'T CONTACT ME UNTIL 11:11AM 5HRS & 43MINS LATER ! Worst service EVER! Thank God I wasn't in DIRE NEED or I would have been screwed

yesterday, nov. 25th i put a call into aaa carolinas at 4:45 pm to have my 2016 tacoma towed to a local shop about 5 miles away as the truck lost most of its power and i didn't care to drive it there and risk further damage. 1sy=t i was told a truck would be at my in about 2 hours. they never showed up! i called again about 8:00 pm and was put on hold and no one ever came back on the phone, nor did they come for my truck. i called this morning, nov. 26th at 5:30 am and the person couldn't tell me why i was not towed, let alone even called. i asked to have a tow between 8 and 9 am as i had plenty to do today. i was told a tow truck would be here at 8:20....guess waht? another no-show....go figure. it's 10 am now and a driver just called and said he would be here in a half hour....i'm not holding my breath! it's sad that since aaa carolinas joined that other auto club they have gone down the tubes and their customer service sucks to put it mildly. this is the second time their tow service dropped the ball with me. i'll be very hesitant to resign my membership next year!

Waited 7 hours for a tow truck! AAA service has definitely changed! Tomorrow morning I start calling for a new roadside assistance service! It’s too bad, cause I’ve been a member since 1976! There loyalty to their customers is NOT returned!
