Best service ever! My right turn signal was not working and I took it for a peek to get fixed. A guy by the name Warren took us out to show us what was wrong and it turned out to simply be a light bulb change. He gave us some advice about the issue and put the fix on the house. Very kind and the service was quite fast. He did not try to over sell us but rather keep us informed about future issues.

I drive across town to use this AAA repair. Warren is always helpful, concerned and responsive. The guys in the back do a great job. Everyone pleasant and helpful. Good at explaining options.

Totally disappointed with the exorbitant price increase for a basic oil change service. $92, really! What’s wrong with AAA all of a sudden?

I have been a member of AAA for over 25 years dating back to 1996. I decided to try the AAA car care service center in Ballantyne. We moved from across town, and I needed a new car care establishment for repairs. I took my car there several times. Nice people, Warren, Orlando and others but it seemed I was spending quite a bit to have my 2 cars worked on. Regular maintenance turned into, you need this and that. Recently after a state inspection I was told I need a new battery. It was only 18 months old and still under warranty from Firestone. I opted to go to Firestone Arboretum, where I have been taking my cars for over 20 years and exercise my warranty coverage, "if needed". AAA told me the battery needed to be replaced, the sooner the better. Firestone ran a test and showed me the testing results, battery tested at 92% effective and based on that there was no need for a new battery. Even though it seems the guys at AAA and are nice bunch, be careful. May be that one of these car care businesses needs their equipment recalibrated. I am sure I don't want to be spending money needlessly.

STAY AWAY IF YOU HATE GETTING SCAMMED!!!!!!!!!! Had brake pads, rotors, and calipers replaced on a 97 Camry. They charged me $1170. I was frustrated at spending 8 hours on the car myself with inadequate tools to make the problem even worse so I just threw it at a mechanic nearby to fix it and agreed to the price. I regret it deeply. I got the receipt after the job was done and was very shocked at the price for the parts. I payed $575 for parts that I could have gotten myself for about $184 no shipping, rounded to $200 with shipping and fees. I even gave them my new brake pads to use, but they didn't wanna use those for some reason. They said brake fluid got on the ones I installed on driver side, but they looked perfectly identical to the 2 brand new brake pads that I hadn't installed yet on the other side. Strange, that they would refuse appearingly fine items provided and then upcharge a more expensive set of pads with a 25% increased price tag. Compared to the parts I could have ordered personally, Rotors were triple price, calipers were $162 EACH, when I could get them for about $40 each (maybe I don't know certain things, but this seems sort of like a scam, based on what these items costed me with AAA). My father, who's been a vehicle expert as long as I've been alive, told me I should've only paid half of what I did. I would be very curious to know what ungodly costs they incur to obtain these parts. Unless they are putting NASCAR-quality products in my 26 year-old Camry, I can't imagine ANYTHING that would cause an increase that steep! And if they are, they lack discernment and vision for what the car needs. If they didn't, either they are ripping people off by taking advantage of their ignorance, etc., or they are charging prices and not asking questions of WHO sets the prices, no matter how it effects the community members. In any case, until my curiosity is sated by a business-side in-depth breakdown of every single cost associated with parts-acquisition, I can't trust them to touch my car again. They charge too much for what it's worth. You don't charge prices that high without something VERY costly behind the counter that they pass on to the customer. Or maybe they are just doing it because they can. Who knows? I could've gone down to Monroe to a trusted shop to get it fixed for half the price. Literally half. That's how much this place is willing to jack up the prices. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere until they get a grip of their pricing strategy. I'll take this review down if/when I am satisfied with their answer for why a near 3x cost increase is warranted.EDIT: seems like I'm not the only one who's been taken advantage of at this place. Other reviews say the same thing. Doomsday vehicle reports all in red that all need replacing at "We have all the parts on hand, just sign away your bank account and we'll take care of it for ya."Service: Brakes

BEWARE OF AAA BALLANTYNE!My wife took her car to AAA in Ballantyne yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation. AAA will always do a "bumper to bumper" inspection regardless of your reason for being there, ostensibly for your "peace of mind" but the reality is they are looking for anything they can to increase your bill. They sent my wife their "Vehicle Inspection Report" stating there is an issue that required "urgent attention". The report said her car was in urgent need of brake pad and rotor replacement at a cost of nearly $500. They even sent a picture of the "worn out" rotor that I am quite certain was from somebody else's car. I am capable of replacing brake pads myself, done it dozens of times. I purchased new pads ($60) and got to work. Upon my inspection I found that the brake pads probably have another 15-20k miles before replacement is needed and the rotors are in pristine condition. Bottom line: AAA lied to my wife (I have photographic proof) and attempted to sell her a ton of expensive and completely unnecessary service and even got an attitude when she declined. Have to wonder if this would have happened had I brought the car in myself instead of my wife?

I don't really know much about cars and cost for labor but in my 12 years of going, I have never felt that I was being ripped off. There were a couple of guys there that I really liked and we would laugh and joke a lot but they're gone now so it makes me a little sad. The new people are nice and professional and if you have questions they are more than happy provide you with a clear explanation. I've had to use their shuttle service a few times which is a really nice option to have when you don't feel like waiting around.I remember bringing the car in without an appointment on my way to work one morning because one of my wipers stopped working and it was raining so that needed to be handled ASAP. One of the guys that's no longer there was working that morning, immediately took my keys and took my car to the back. Minutes later he came back and gave me my keys. I can't remember what the issue was but he told me and I walked up to the desk to pay, he waved his hand and said it was free because it was so minor. You don't get a lot of freebies these days so I really appreciated it.They need to put the vending machine back in the waiting area. I need my peanut M&Ms!

I had oil change and they put TOO MUCH oil to my car. My computer informed that so I called and got the answer that we always put the exact amount of oil, but you can bring it in and we will make sure. i got in, waited 20 mins and yes, there was too much oil. No apology, no voucher for the next service, nothing. I'm not going back.

Without a doubt I highly recommend the team here at AAA. They accommodated me with no appointment and instantly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Customer service was phenomenal. The agent (Israel) is as good as they come and willing to help out with any issue while the shop was super busy. He is an asset to any company. Management was helpful while also preoccupied. I highly recommend coming here for any auto needs.

Bad experience! Went to this AAA because I am a AAA member. Tire pressure was low. Asked the guy at the desk if they could check the tire for obstructions and put air in tire. He said they where booked up for the day and could only put air in the tire. He also suggested I go to Discount Tire down the road. Really! Send your business to another company!! Going to Discount Tire was a huge mistake. They where also extremely busy and don't listen to what customers need!! So you wait in line for nothing to get done!!

I had a an alignment issue with my truck and I needed it fixed right away. AAA was amazing, I called them Wednesday and had an appointment the next day. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I dropped the truck off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. The alignment was perfect, and my truck is lifted with large tires which makes aligning more challenging.Service: General repairs & maintenance
