The Charlotte Convention Center is a wonderful venue in the center of the city. It is a great venue for all sorts of events and can hold multiple big events at the same time. The place is very clean, open, and in good condition. Staff are helpful and great. There are plenty of super clean bathrooms and reasonable concessions on site, including Starbucks and Bojangles. It is super convenient to access from the light rail.
Plenty of places to park but it will be 20 dollars or more.

Participated in the Diocese of Charlotte Eucharistic Conference. The Saturday Mass was a very moving experience.

The convention center itself is mostly a great experience: downtown, dining options close by, clean, organized with a great exposition/floor layout. Parking was a bit of a struggle, but otherwise a very good experience working here.
